DislikedYou can take any oscillator you would like to make it look like similar. What you need need to be aware of is what values you are calculating with the oscillator, why are you calculating them, and what the end results are. An oscillator is different points of reference to a mean based on the oscillators parameters. What you are seeing in CP's charts are, in my opinion, and oscillation from the mean in tick price. They could be grouped in a basket of tick prices rather than what one would typically show as a basket of time based on the time period...Ignored

DislikedCP gave us info about indicators he uses here: http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=233214 CP:"I only use 3 indicators: Moving Average Envelope, True Strength Index and (I won’t disclose)" So any idea how to use MA Envelope?Ignored
DislikedA friend of mine once told me that the answer had been there all the time right under my nose only I couldn't see it. He was right of course. And that's why I like the movie Matrix so much, particularly the scene where Neo realizes he was the One and starts to see things (price) with a new perspective, very clearly, almost boring. What does Pi have to do with trading? We tend to forget the initial question...Ignored

Disliked{quote} Maybe the answer is so simple like: " Pi is the proof of perfect cycle" and so is market...Ignored
Disliked{quote} One explanation is the "geometrical" one. I figured this a while a go. It fits in the crowd behavior point of view. When the price starts to curve one way or the other and the crowd follows, the price will go "ballistic" and the pace increases to exponential speed until it suddenly stops. This curve (part of a circle) looks pretty much the same on each timeframe as Pi is a constant related to the surroundings of a circle on whatever size.......and this phenomenon relates to trends.....Ignored
Disliked{quote} Observation is key. Great you notice those things... {image} I remember the first time I saw that image. I don't remember what the question was but there was the word "solve". Of course, my mind immediately thought about maths and I struggled a lot trying to "solve" those damn exercises. I couldn't, it was impossible. Right when I gave up a thought came into my mind: "those are not math problems, they are just images, they are something you know", and wow, it was brilliant how the answer showed up in two seconds. Bottom line: it's...Ignored
Disliked{quote} It took me quite a while to reach that explanation. I was kinda satisfied into it at a time. Not saying that its the one CP is talking about. Not saying it cant go deeper than that....... a brilliant mathematical formula explaining crowd (market) behavior......Ignored
DislikedIt is in our nature to complicate things as humans. When the question "what does pi have to do with trading" is asked we naturally assume that the OP has a complicated and all encompassing formula in mind. After some thought I have come to the conclusion that this desire to complicate the simple is why so many of us fail at such a simple task as trading. We assume that because we are not profitable and so few people are "making it" that there has to be some highly secretive and complicated set of rules behind trading success. BS So what about...Ignored
