I would agree with the stuff being doctored... What he gives me are the numbers for each port. So I see what goes through customs and the total number of items moved on or off each ship at each port. That is a tracking system in china. That is how I am able to see what the in/out of china is for their shipping.

sorry for the confusion! by black swan, i meant an unexpected event (not a market dive)... usually born of a situation that someone has been trying to conceal for some time, but that a sea of trouble from elsewhere brings forth in full force (for example the gerome kerviel situation)i'm thinking that there's deep trouble somewhere in the world right this very minute, but it's being hidden... when circumstances change for the worse, it won't be possible to hide it any longer.
or, it could just be some "shit happens" event --- earthquake in london, a straits of hormuz catastrophe, who knows? a "the last straw" kind of thing

Hey guys whatsup? Im new here!
I followed the comments here for the last days and I decided to join in and share my knowledge with u guys.. as a one of the biggest money exchangers in my country I got a huge experiene with currencies and forex.
I noticed alot of people here have different opinions about where the aud/usd is going to, so I will give you my opinion aswell..
Australia is not Japan or England, I dont believe we will see a bigass drop as the Yen or GBP but you guys gotta put your charts to the side and understand what kind of currency the Australian Dollar is.
Its one of the most speculated currencies out (next to the Israeli ILS that has the BEST performance over any other currency this year) and its mostly effected by short term players making a quick $, either from shorts or longs.
What we saw last night was expected since the players took the rates up against the dollar and short them after Bernanke opened his mouth.
If u guys look in the past the same thing happened every time : few days before the Fed as big news, the players take the dollar index down and a minute after u see a big selloff.
So getting back to the AUD, its mostly effected by data and making quick profit, the game between Bulls & Bears, interest rates etc.
So I see 2 options of what might happen for the AUD/USD -
1. The Fed will stop printing money, the dollar index will jump high for a couple of days, and then the market will relax and realise they have to move back to routine - stable stocks, lower dollar, higher AUS.
2. The Fed will continue printing money because US data will suck, sending the dollar index down and the AUS higher.
So what I see in LONG TERM(!) is a higher AUS.
The players can play it down to 0.90 and buy it back up to 0.92 or whatever, long term im going long with AUS and even while I write this post im going long from 0.9182.
