PS My charts are a lot cleaner than this and doing OK, drained one account last week but learnt had 1.500 leverage and have now adjusted to smaller SL and TP as I still have trades open on my demo account from the fifth of this month and have not hit TP

Offshore, if you will take some friendly advice, actually you want to keep your SL and TP plenty wide and just adjust your lot sizes downward. You'll find the trading much easier, and a lot less stressful.

Thanks Turtle fan I take friendly advice and even constructive criticism
I have also reduced my lot sizes way down to very small and just working on which SL TP work best for me I don't like having trades open for too long as wise man once said "you can always get back into the pool"

Just my 2c's. I don't think its the number of trades that will validate but the number of changes in trend that you go through. 200 trades essentially in 1 big D trend is just that and is what the system is (very nicely) designed to do. Of course when the EA is switched off nearing the D change in trend will be a key decision. Leaving the EA on with up to 8 entries on multiple pairs with large stops will leave a dent in the account when turns come. Turns will come, draw down will come (especially if EA left on), how you handle that waiting for next trend move will be the test.

Not knocking the system trading pull backs in D trend has to be the best basic method out there.

Thanks for joining in and the very solid advice; I have respected your posts for a long time now.

Totally agree about being exposed with too many positions, even with proper money management, that is why I have reduced both number of positions & number of trades in both demo & real accounts.

Also, my take profit target and stop loss are reduced, based on ADR / ATR, and not the huge pips target of the originator of the system; so basically, I am taking bites out of a trend, quickly & often, just as you say pullbacks in trend.

So, better described as short term swing trades for me, and if (?) WHEN trend changes, the plan is, there will be fewer valid signals as price moves into the "ranging" zone between 20 / 50 EMA's - no signal = no trade = no loss

The thing that really stands out for me, after watching "price action" for so many years, and reading all about methods to enter on the pullback, I'm sure you have seen the perfect chart, perfect trend on display, with the 12 & 72 MA's where they say just enter here when price is back to the 12 MA, great in hindsight, but what I was saying, what really stands out is the clarity of the entry signal with using the W%R for the trigger.

I know, it seems so simple but that is the key for me; and TCO has written such an excellent EA, you must test it out when you can.

Morning all. Just like to thank everyone on this thread for all their good advice and support for newbies like myself. I would like to ask a question which I don't think has been asked before concerning running multiple EAs. I am using Alpari - UK on demo and would like to evaluate both D1 20 EMA & 50EMA and TSS and I have set up separate accounts to do so but it appears that whatever I do on one account it automatically does to the other. For example if I have say EUR/USD on one account with D1 20 & 50 EMA and on the other account I put TSS on the same pair it automatically changes the other pair ( on the other account ) to TSS as well. I hope I have explained myself clearly and any help / advise would be much appreciated

Up until now, I have not been, but I see that some YEN pairs are getting into the range area of the MA's while there is open trade, so I closed them rather than wait for opposite signal as the EA is programmed to due

I notice that some USD_JPY / EUR-JPY, closed 2 for about the same loss as 1 full trade

Hope that helps, and I hope to see trades the opposite way next week, so hard to get above the 50%

Just dump it, if in doubt, get out, might be another sell signal if it decides to drop, so turn off EA as well if you go that way
