Yep primarily: JPY, AUD

I have recently installed this system on my MT4 including 100Pips Template and the EA is loaded, but I am not showing the orange arrows on the EA active portion in the top right.

Was this maybe an update where they took it out or have I possibly installed it wrong? Apologies if this was previously addressed I did not see it.
Hi 100pips,

I notice from your trade explorer that all current AUD/USD trades are SELLs but for the past several days, D1 MACD is up (blue) so, in my case, all of my current Aussie trades are BUYs. Did you stop trading the Aussie when it retraced recently? If you did, what was the reason and what would be the deciding factor for you to trade the Aussie again?

Yes, it meets the criteria, but it was Friday, NFP Friday in fact, most everybody is exit any trades, I closed all my trades down to re-evaluate EA settings, etc. over the weekend, yes, even the demos take some hard work



And please, clean up those charts, my eyes are hurting, I don't know how you can find a trade in there?

This stuff sounds to good to be true. I'll demo it for a while and see what happens.

However, i'll have to downscale on positions and pairs to limit risk.
Im thining about max 3 positions 12 hours apart and those pairs: EU, AU - U/Y, N/Y - E/Aud, G/Nzd. Would this be a good mix to start out with?

I just started, and I want only ONE improvement, instead of fixed lot size, please consider include % of acct/equity. This is so we can grow our accts as it goes. eg I can always set 2% of equity to gbpaud and as my equity gets higher, lot sizes opened would be higher. Rather that keep changing ea's fix lot sizes

My friend intro this system to me and i just got it setup on sat morning, (yesterday) so will be running it over 60days to see how it handles trades. The top of list goes in Templates - it ends with " .tpl "

The other 4 are Indicators

You still need to decide which EA to use, that goes direct in Experts folder

Huh?! There are 2 EA? The one I am attaching to the chart was the 20/50 EMA, the list of files u have given is for another EA? I thought there are indicators which u have given a screenshot to show how the template together with the indicators will look. There's also a screen shot of the indicators in the indicator settings

this EA the william's percentage does not trade right? It just gives an alert for the right setup for manual trading purposes? I can stick to 1hr or daily chart upto my choice?

I believe the name of the latest, best version, is the one I am using " Third Screen Strategy - D1 MACD "

There is no 20 / 50 EMA used for Third Screen / MACD method

Williams % Range in the Indicator in the lower window on the 1 Hour chart only - it does not trade

Don't worry about ex4 or mq4 - just put them in the folders, shutdown & restart MT4 or just start it up if not running, they will be there

PS: If i got this confused also, pls let me whats correct? being a new member and only abt one day "old" is tough when 100pips has got like a few 1000 posts by now. I swear I was on page 52 or so just yesterday and its now like page 64. Wonder whether 100pips even got enough time to read posts. I would have gone mad this way.

As 100pips said thats no need for tpl and indicators, just the EA and stick it to D1 chart and it will work on its own. My friend told me he stick it to 1hr and also do manual trading using the indicators given by 100pips together with the tpl.

Ah, I saw someone posting your "ranking" with the results, care to share your EA and methodology? Just direct me to the relevant linkage will do. My friend told me that he will go route around as he knows someone using this method like getting 700+% gain and will get his suggestion for the "fine" tuning.

I totally agree with 100pips why go complicate a system that works so well, and we are not talking abt scalping, coz scalping EA tends to work well in demo (due to less turbulence and slippage) but dont perform in live. 100pips have kindly share his huge success using this system that gives 100+pips and thats all we asked for. As for my earlier suggestion of risk% of equity, I can always used a "cheat" method. Stick the EA into a demo acct 123, use foc MTi trade copier and set those risks via MTi trade copier there and viola! its trading using risk%! NEAT!

I made the ea backtest listed above and gives me an error in the tab 'journal:


"2013.06.08 23:08:57 2013.06.06 23:59 Third Screen Strategy - D1 MACD_2 AUDJPY, Daily: first for iMAOnArray indicator parameter must be an array".

Thanks again Erebus, got it. Ok now, I finally understand why u said there are 2 EA's. The 3rd screen strategy EA and the 20/50ema EA. Whats our results like, could you share your trade history? (I saw the leaderboard that someone posted, I dont know from where, coz I dont find it in this forum). Any settings specific? Aside from sticking it to a chart (any chart), (I read the pdf, so installation wise its not an issue). Sorry if I am being annoying, but looks like u may have to expand on the "user" guide. The guide was dated 5/Jun/2013, so its quite recent. Although trade report via this forum is great but lacks a detailed trade history like on myfxbook. It would be great if 100pips and yourself have posted this to myfxbook as well. Then basically I got 2 great EA's and FREE!
I've set up a new trade explorer demo with my personal settings. It will run continuous for the next 30 days starting tomorrow, without any manual input. Just have EA take trades on pairs I choose based on my weekly/daily bias analysis, and let's see how things go after 30 days . GL next week everyone.

There's nothing wrong with trading other pairs such as USD/CAD, EUR/GBP, or even AUD/CHF. However, I personally don't like those particular pairs...

USD/CAD, EUR/GBP, and even AUD/NZD all have very low ATR. This means that we don't get much movement. If you trade those pairs you might want to cut your SL and TP targets in half...

As for AUD/CHF it is almost like trading EUR/AUD and since I personally do well with EUR/AUD I just stick with what I know best and works well.

Feel free to apply this strategy to other pairs until you find what works for you.
