I reckon that you're exaggerating way too much ... I'm using Pepperstone for quite a time and since early last year I've not experienced anything as bad as you claiming ... however, yesterday at around US data release for CB Consumer Confidence there was a brief platform freeze ... causing a bit of problem as I couldn't place my trade at market price right then and later on the price simply run away too far from my prefered entry point ... making it redundant of course.

once i wanted to buy ....clicked on buy button....please wait....1-2 sec....connecting to server....2sec...order in process........(still not filled)......price goes up... not filled ....so i clicked on cancel button,the order window disappeared.... but seconds later it reappeared confirming that i bought xyz at abc price etc..

Same experience here, live account freezes for about 15-60 seconds every 15-60 minutes, really not good for scalping, otherwise they are good, but they need to solve this issue. I have spoken with them about it and they just deny it.

... you're quoting someone who posted in November 2011 ... when it was a real issue at that time (as I've mentioned earlier)
anyway, don't you finding this strange??? ... that nobody else are having such problems or not posting about them right now.
So, most probably it's an issue at your end (PC or modem/router) or alternatively IPS problem (latency or unstable connection)
However, as Jack has advised you before: ask for moving your account to another server.

I had problems with execution but things have improved a lot since they added another server.

Retries: 0, Entry latency: 656ms, Slippage: 0.5
Retries: 0, Entry latency: 625ms, Slippage: 0.3
Retries: 0, Entry latency: 563ms, Slippage: -0.8

That's from my logs from yesterday. Sometimes it's faster (down to about 400 ms), sometimes also slower (1500ms this week, but only once). This is trading at bar open when they are often hit by quite a few orders so trading outside of those times should even be better. Also notice that positive slippage is good slippage and it's not uncommon.

That's EDGE03, the other one is slightly slower but still OK.

The last I heard of any limit was from the old server (pre-Edge) of 50 or 100 pending orders, and it could be raised if you asked support to do so.. I think the limit was more so to stop malfunctioning EAs from bogging down the server than anything else.

If such a limit is on Edge as well, I imagine you'd be able to have it raised just the same so long as you asked support, but I'm not sure if they even have a limit anymore.

No kidding.. I can't wait to get my hands on it.

I didn't hear about an exact date yet, but 'very soon' seems to be the response. They've already prepped their site for it, so we'll probably see cTrader sooner than later.

cAlgo looks very interesting as well.

I'm not crazy about market commentary myself (most brokers who do this kinda thing just report on what happened in the recent past or what economic number releases were and the resulting move...) but I'm sure some longer term traders might enjoy it.

Also, I read on ForexMagnates that Sirix got an overhaul (Sirix is what Pepper uses for their webtrader and mobile alternatives.)

I emailed in asking if we'd see the new webtrader (which looks slick,) and they responded that they will be getting it as the platform is rolled out to brokers using Sirix.

So between Sirix and CTrader, Pepper will have people who like web interfaces covered.

If I hear anything else out of Pepper on the recent platform upgrades and new platform launches, I'll post it.

Other than that, I now have an account on the new Edge server, everything's smooth as butter.

I may make an announcement soon as a new thread in the commercial forum about some recent changes I've made to my own site (still not selling anything, but no where else to post it right now.)

Sirix is branded for the broker but from the article I linked at FM the new platform will look something like this:

what is the difference between mt4 and ctrader?

I used them both I actually like ctrader just because of the smoothness of its looks
