Yeah, Mine should have too, but the signal came and went without a trade opening.

Turned out some mods I had done made it act like a Blonde....lol

I have suffix. The ea gets loaded without any issues. But orders getting loaded instantly. I turned off the Expert Advisor and then loaded the EA. The moment I turn on the EA orders gets loaded instantly. After I activate clos all script, after closing all the orders again fresh orders get loaded. What should I do George?

Further the Baskettrail SL TP ea is not closing the orders even after crossing the stoplevel set. Please check the following parameters set correctly;

extern int Target_Pips = 1000;
extern int StopLoss_Pips = -200;

extern bool Pips_Trailing = true;
extern int Trailing_Start = 200;
extern int Trailing_Pips = 50;

i have the ia combo ea running on a dfmarkets demo which opened a core 5 sell shortly after markets opened yesterday (sunday night) here in the UK, around 22:37 GMT. its 300 pips in the red at this moment

The EA will keep on opening trades as long as there is a signal.
The signal comes from the text on the bottom right side of picture "Core5 Long"
The signal is still very crude......and this is the mods that I am making....

I just tested the BasketTrail EA on my account and it closed the trades.....
will check it out.

Thanks for explanation on the IA_combo. In the absence of any write up on this EA I could not understand. What to look for in the display could be of useful. The Basket Trail EA is not showing any object in the chart. Display Status and draw label functions are not active. Please check this out. This EA is very simple to use for protecting the basket unlike the mptm and mpbm which are complicated with so many parameters.

Should I have to add suffix in all the 14 currency pair symbols to get the 'T101 Basket Trader v2.3' execute orders or just that I add the suffix in
"extern string PairSuffix = "-"; .

Ah Tnavi, I thought your initial exit was a bit premature but then you have a unique system all your own

Anyways we are now at the H4 trendline SR...one wonders? If I were to think like Kos would, this would be a place to EITHER exit in profit and await re-entry OR adjust BE and ride the dragon to its eventual demise - or not. If you are more aggressive, this would be a place to zoom into the M15 an watch it like a HAWK.

Hi George

Orders are not getting executed by the T101...V2.3. I checked the following and found in order;

1. The suffix '-' is in place.
2. The TLE indicator is set to 2 15 2 15.

After opening my live account I used the EA couple of times unsuccessful. I missed few good entries. Now I have been manually entering the trade using the script. The EA was working well in the demo accounts with the same 5 digit Broker. Anything else should I have to modify in the EA. The EA gives me a visual SL & TP to monitor the trades. Please help me out.

My sell entry quickly moved down to +250. On touching the pivot retraced back. Should I hold on to the draw down until the HAS gives a buy signal or close the orders to wait for the next signal. Trading the 14 basket is very tricky this time around. The market is not trending. It is frustrating to book losses. Is this they way to trade the basket until hitting a big trend to cover losses to make profits. Are there any other traders trading in live account to give their feed back on their experience. I think not many traders are seriously trading the basket in live accounts successfully. How are the experiences from core5 traders. Leaving aside all fundamentals and analysis I just following the HAS. Is there any thing that I don't see what others could see in this method. I am eager to correct myself. I am looking forward to response from all other basket traders trading in their live account.

May be the present period of the market is not good enough to trade the basket. I will have to wait and see few more trades to experience success. I am holding the sell orders to see what happens until HAS cross or 560 pips stop loss.

I have been trading the basket live for more than 2 years, both core 5, and 14 pairs...and there is great potential in it. I think people get in trouble when they seek more than a 1:2 profit target. A 1:2 target is attainable even in ranging periods, or at least 1:1.5. The problem is people want to gain 1:3+ R/R on every trade, that is where the basket becomes unprofitable in the long run. I have been doing this live with real money for 2+ years, and have learned the hard way, the same thing happens over and over, and over again...so your best bet is to stick with reasonable r/r ratio. Take your loses at 560(for 14 pairs), and look for reentry...simple.

Dont forget, even smart money(the guys who move the market) cannot make a 1:3+ ROI consistently.

Thanks Hodgires for your response. I value your comments as I can see you are very selective in responding. You must be a person of action than talk. Your experience counts. There had been so many experienced traders in the beginning of this thread. Very few of them now and then drop in here. I request other senior live basket traders to share their wisdom to motivate traders like me new to basketing. Thank you once again Hodgires.

at +250 what are you waiting for just BE and the rest is easy.

Breaking Even quickly will save you from heartache many times,
I stated this from the beginning. BE is very crucial to this method of trading.

Many of us count a trade that goes +500 and later end up in BE as loss but
I see it as a winner or draw. I better BE and look for reentry than wait and be caught up in heavy DD

Hi Mr.George

I don't see the display in my chart with all those parameters after deploying the EA. It is just blank. Can you please get this checked. Is that a different EA other than what you have posted?

Example:
Total Pips = 133 (running profit)
Target Pips = 10000 (I set it high so that I can trail the profit)
StopLoss Pips = -2200 (My SL for basket)
"Trailing pips not yet activated" means that my Lock target of 200 has not yet been reached.....
