Hey Slam.dunk I see you don't have numbers for the majors such as EURUSD, GBPUSD, AUDUSD. Is there a way to trade these pairs from other listed currency pairs?

very correct, i do not at this time trade the crosses that are against the usd.

i could, but i would need additional hardware, prior to making the changes needed to allow these pairs.

and, yes, i agree that it would be something sweet to corner the eurusd...

if for no other reason that to just be able to say that you did it.

it would be the ultimate in forex.

but really, whats the difference? there is no difference.. the only tiny difference that i can see is that you would have the tiny spread that is found with the eurusd, for example...

but, if you notice the rather hefty spreads on my citifx standard demo account, and i am in profit all the same.

I am very satisfied with your response, thank you. I asked about the majors because of the spread. I know you don't use SL, would you suggest any if i entered the EURAUD on a decent retracement.

notice that we are currently up by 1688.68, but do not be disappointed if it goes back into the negative prior to hitting the target..

also, my dosbox(thinkpad) has a defective screen, and i did not bring a flatpanel monitor or any kind of monitor with me on this little bus trip, so i am unable to re-run these numbers from my indicator until i hit my destination and can hook up to a monitor.

no worries, tho, there is a lot of travel to go prior to hitting the target of zero, and there is only a little bit of potential drawdown, so even tho i am flying blind atm, it is all good.

i will acknowlege how it must sound for me to run my head about this nobel prize and whatever...

except that i am confident about one thing and that is that there are some competent math folks in this audience and that when they run the numbers that my indicator puts out, i am betting that they are most intrigued.

thank you for the serious questions and contributions.

ps.. my trading crew is gonna walk like some serious gangsters.

if you so desire, i think that you are way safe to place ten percent of your margin onto the table short on the euraud now, even tho i am now in the positive by sixteen hundred dollars, no worries.

do it on demo for the first position, and i will tell you why, because you and i have never worked together before, and there is the chance that you and i are miscommunicating some small detail, and i leave no thing to chance.

but, ultimately, if you wanna roll the dice with your live account, i feel safe about it, for whatever that is worth.

Thanks for the advice. No thrill in demo trading for me but i noted the price you entered. If i get a chance to enter during the week i might use the high of 1.3224 reached on may, 17 2013 around 4.00am et as the SL but please keep us up to date on the level of your indicator reading.

Hi Slamdunk,

Trying to understand your system.
EURAUD number is 89.
So its almost ready for a short position. (distance from +100 is just 11).
Current Price is at 1.31372

Can you pl explain what would be the price at 100?
or if i enter a short position here, how to determine the price at zero to close it?

Okie i'm making progress.
Downloaded citifx mt4 and put in the login info you gave. This is the first time i have done this(monitoring someone else's account), but it's been updating the chart window for 30mins even though the market watch window is active..

i see that happen all the time. here;s what you do. Select the symbol "EURAUD" from the Market watch window, drap and drop it onto the chart window, it should start displaying correctly after that.

as i stated earlier, we may go negative prior to going positive...

...and it is precisely at this stage of this game where the short term folks will show their true colors.

if we go back into the negative territory, it will be short lived and shallow, so dont sweat it.

it may be a week or two prior to us taking this position to it's target, but the drawdown will be reasonably small.

a few times in this thread, others have stated rather assertively that they are confident that what i have is most certainly not the holy grail.

really? not the holy grail? are you sure?

do you even know what the definition of the holy grail of trading is?

have you ever taken the time to properly define what the holy grail is?

i will do precisely that right now.

the holy grail will:

1)produce a smallish or reasonable amount of drawdown.
2)produce a largish and easily measurable amount of profit.
3)it will preferably not take too much time between the opening and the closing of a position.

AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING THAT THE GRAIL MUST NEVER DO IS TO USE A STOP LOSS OR TAKE A LOSS, IE, EACH AND EVERY POSITION MUST RESULT IN A PROFIT BEING ACHIEVED.

if a trading system does the above things, EACH AND EVERY TIME , then it is the holy grail, for all practical purposes.

and now, a few tips for my new friend angelofx..

first, click on the X that i have circled and labeled with an A until all of the current charts are fully closed.

second, right click on the MARKET WATCH WINDOW AND then click SHOW ALL.

third, press CTRL-N to remove the NAVIGATOR, lets just get that out of the way..

fourth, in the market watch window, locate the currency pair EURAUDct, AND then RIGHT CLICK IT AND THEN click chart window.

after you have made it this far, then would you please give to me another screenshot of your terminal and we can proceed from there.

EURAUD has gone back to entry point based on fundamentals, dont know the value of slam.dunk's indicator is for this pair right now.

first, remove the moving average from the chart... right click on the chart, click INDICATORS LIST, and remove the moving average.

if you are following my trades, then we all need to be on precisely the same frequency without exception..

press CTRL-G to remove that unsightly crosshairs grid from the chart.

press CTRL-N TO remove the navigator.

right click the MARKET WATCH window, the one that shows all of the currency pairs, right click it and say HIDE ALL... this will remove all entries except those that you currently have open charts open for... THIS WILL CAUSE YOUR TERMINAL TO USE LESS BANDWIDTH AND IT WILL RUN CLEANER AND SMOOTHER.
