Hello Diceman, just found this thread - read the first few pages, some good results, and in a short space of time. Forgive me for not reading the entire thread, but how did this go for you in the last 2.5 years? Especially interested as I am also scalping on an IG account. Thanks

hi chazzle,

ive refined my method alot since the early part of my journal,in the early days i had periods with huge account growth but lacked the dicipline,so ive adapted the way i trade,im consistent this last 12 months or so,due to my learning patience,which previously i suffered with.

i still have my moments of madness like most,but they kick my arse back into gear.

yes ive traded with ig for 6 years now and havnt had any problems with them,apart from there spread opening and closing,for a scalper that traps you in. i use other spreadbetters also,infact if theres a deal with bonus ill open and trade with them

the thing is chazzle its ok to be consistent,but to be consistent i needed to change my aggressive style which was my driving force and my reason .

i have 4 kids and ex wives all of who are squeezing my little testies so tight i talk with a squeal,

so the next step is to have an account size that can realistically give me the required income.as ive said its much slower because to remain consistent i need to be somewhat conservative if that makes sense

these are my levels to start the wk,the converged hour 4hour and monthly average,will take my bias from this point,

monday morning,

yet to place any trades,price trading above the averages at present and stalling at the 15 min and 1 hour split highs,

bias long but not convinced so will sit out for now,watching for some synce in money flows,the yen conflicting

this long has lacked any fire at present so moved stop upto 97 + 5 pips,

not the most exiting of trading days,gained 5 pips from my long ,held onto it way to long in these flat conditions,price flat lining between the averages,

this was the trade i was looking for today,i was a little premature in entry and didnt manage a reentry ,huh,but none the less the levels have played out perfectly.

also note the value changes from earlier,all switching to synce,always above the averages ,long bias with confirmation,and i didnt capatalize from it,well its monday

values,once price failed to break the highs or lows from london gradually they switched direction

4 hour split high hit ,notice how price always reacts at the split on cycle completion

next target is the monthly averaged at 15340 ,wouldnt expect this today,need price to settle above the 4 hour split high

will recalculate the lower time frames pre london
