Very much enjoyed reading some of your Thread today Mr. Pips!

I feel I need to improve in my HP and this diff. looks like the right place!

I need a bit more time reading the Thread to have any proficiency, for sure...

Was wondering if this is valid on EUR/USD D1, ( I think, all criteria is meet)Bullish Butterfly....?Any imput by yourself or any of your regulars here..? (Beat me up, I can take it)

Best Regards!

I think hes trading support/resistance, and I think mr pip does the same, but yeah definitely this wasn't a butterfly trade since it is at D we pull the trigger. I see he has a trend line on there, yellow line.

Maybe I have my labeling wrong here... THX for the imput Starry!

H/L to 50% (close no higher)the retrace to 68.1 (no further than the 78.6)

Give's a target to FE 121.2/1.61.8 ....

This is what I have drawn...Give me a bit to get up to speed here folks....

And, Yes Yellow in S/R and trade PA almost exclusively.

D1 TF means huge in itself. But i think till you achieve D point in Daily better keep pipping in lower time frames,

Exactly starry if you trading S/R Chilly then definitely you will have multiple reasons to go in. I was basing my comment in harmonics since this thread is basically based on Harmonics And ratios. Personally i also do trade S/R, i mean the regular price action setups by using trendlines, S/R, Pivots, Candle Stick Patterns. Etc ETc. It has its own way in building up confluence. Best of luck bro

Hey, what you have drawn is actually not a buttefly. In butterflies, the D point exceeds the X point. Ive attached the document which describes the harmonic patterns.

What you have drawn is a bearish bat, except in this case, on my chart, you can see that the C point traces to slightly below 78.6, so technically it is not a bat. Each harmonic pattern has an abcd pattern in it. When we say "I am trading a bearish bat", this implies that I am shorting at the D point. In your case, you are trading an aggressive ABCD pattern, which means that you are trading the C point by buying. In this case, the ABCD pattern is inside the possible bearish bat.

But i think what you have there is a valid trade, just my 2 cents. As long as you have confluence.....

I think somewhere in this thread, they mention AB = CD patterns, and all this means is that the C point retraces to a fibonacci level that is not in the 61.8-78.6 range. An ABCD technically retraces to the 61.8-78.6 range. But I think people here now use the general term ABCD to refer to any retracement level, not sure....

Thanks a bunch! Ya, my fib must have floated on me ( my mistake). And also the wrong term.. So, what I've read so far too, as you said . this would invalidate the ABCD ( close below 78.6)..

Thank again, back to work!

And for the Guide too!

Yep, a close below 78.6 would invalidate the ABCD ..... However, i think there is an error of margin for bat patterns, on the daily might be 20 or so pips i dont know, if it goes up from here you could still have a possible bat ... for aggressive abcd trades, i dont think theres a margin for error, though in this case you might have traded it, if u liked the Price Action , since it did close in the 61.8-78.6 zone ....

There is also a general confluence trade, where you have a confluence of harmonics ... but in this case i dont see it, just the diagonal yellow line. I know mr pip said he sometimes uses trend lines as confluence (in the first post i think), but it has never been mentioned, though i think CNtrader recently drew something similar to trend liens in one of his charts..... never mentioned anything about it

Hey Starry,

That first trade is calling your name! Did you get any of those easy 34 pips? I've just got here as we're watching the hockey game. Don't usually trade at night but thought I'd get some practice . Hope there is more to come. Cheers.

Study this so you don't get the Bat confused with a butterfly or something crazy like that lol
