when we really know the when and the where we should know when and where to exit too, isn't the exit the opposite of the entry?

Even if we know the entry / entry point / direction, we do not necessarily know the exact exit point.

With this , I ask Crucial Point if he knows the exit point ! Maybe I have to study some more...

I know that CP has something better to do, as we all, specially when you are making a nice profit, but still, if we started this let's get it to an end-point, whatever that will be.

If I know a little CP, from the things he wrote, this thread won't have any definite point, it's infinite as well as market it is

Coffee-talks with CrucialPoint: The Pizza

The brain is such an interesting machine. It is so powerful and yet be so ignorant at the same time. If nobody taught the brain 1 + 1 = 2. It will be obliviously ignorant of it and yet at the same time continue to learn other things and be very skillful. Unless a person has an intellectual disability, a person who is tactless, someone who lack social etiquette or lack IQ, have simply not been exposed to such information and are the result of such impediment.

Have you ever had Pizza? Have you ever tasted a shit Pizza? Have you tasted the best Pizza you've ever tasted? Have you ever made pizza at home? How did it taste compared to a pizza shop standard? There are many pizza shop and it's very few who make good pizzas. You know what I mean!

So I walked into one of my favorite pizza place of mine and was having a conversation with the owner. We were talking about how only a handful of successful pizza shop are around and how the other pizza shop just really sucked at making pizza. So I asked him, "What's your secret?" (as much as I hate to use the word 'secret', it is a fact, whether you can accept it or not, there are secrets). And as expected, he replied, "There's no secret...." but then he continued, "Everybody can make a pizza!... You make the dough, you add the sauce, you add ham and then you add the cheese. Anybody can do that!" And you know what, he is right. Anybody can make a pizza... but it doesn't guarantee a great pizza.

"But it doesn't guarantee a great pizza"... I can leave this story right at this point, but I won't

When it comes to trading, anybody can trade. Anybody can press a button. Anybody can draw S/R. Anybody can identify candlestick patterns. Anybody can make a pizza... But that is not going to make anybody be successful at trading, let alone make a great pizza.

Literally, I walked into a pizza shop, ordered a pizza, tasted it and said to myself; "WTF is this sh*t!" The owner was kind enough to give me a free drink (to boost his business salesmanship), but I'm never coming back there again. Good guy no-doubt, trying to make a living, but bad pizza. I didn't say a word to him, because I didn't want to hurt his feelings. And you know what? a lot of people walked who into that shop and never also said a word. He was a good guy who ended up closing down the shop because he couldn't keep the business running. And I've seen this countless of times with pizza shops.

Back to my favorite pizza place. I asked him what makes a great pizza. He then replied, "You see, you have to have a nice dough. And you have to have a nice cheese." Do you think he gave me the precise ingredients in making the dough and the right kind of cheese? of course not. Is there a secret to making a great pizza? I'll let you decide that for yourself.

From my experience in life, almost all successful outcomes is based upon a fundamental core to highly attention to details. And the difference in details is so small it is barely noticeable. But such small difference makes such the major impact or change. The window of opportunity in capturing a move and being consistent with it is as low as 4% (and not greater).

I was watching the Pacquiao vs Marquez -fight #IV (while eating pizza). I'm a Pacquiao fan, but I'm happy for Marquez. It was a great fight. Back when I was young, I would watch boxing and just see 2 guys slugging it out. Nowadays, I enjoy the technicalities of what goes on behind a punch. Anybody can throw a punch. Anybody can be taught to punch straight, jab, hook, uppercut, etc... Anybody can do that. But the attention to details, when and how, timing and strategy (Oh wait, I mentioned strategy.... Anybody can make a strategy, but that doesn't guarantee anything).

It is this fundamental core (high attention to details) that is highly overlooked in trading (as with any aspect in life).

I was talking to this old man one day. He had no clue of what I do or my background. He was giving me financial advice in regarding investing in properties. I guess he felt sorry for me as I assume him seeing me driving an old car 1990 (I kept one of my old car and drive it once in a while to keep me grounded in life). I'm fortunate enough to have a family member who is very successful in property investing and I get all the gist/inside and out of property investing. I compare the reality in property investing with those books and seminars (which I also have been to) and it is totally far fetch from the real deal. This man was no different. He told me about renovations, apartments, negative-gearing, buy and sell, long term holdings, commercial properties etc... and it all sounds nice and valid if your are ignorant of the reality.

And I see this here on the forums; "keep it simple.", "create a strategy", "follow your system", etc... Would you follow your own system if you are obliviously ignorant that it is leading you to fall off a cliff? of course you would. The real deal with trading will never be fully discussed in the open. But this post is a wake up call of what might be blinding anyone to their journey. And it is no-one's fault. It's actually life's own default and that it is the way it is.

Ah yes, the brain. Our most useful tool and yet, it is our greatest enemy. A long time ago in my youth I made up a paradoxical phrase that attempted to offer a diagnosis of the Human brain problem.

"You need to know what you don't know"

In other words, in order to have a chance of true success at whatever you are doing, it is very important to know the limits of your knowledge. Too often I observed that people seemed to be making assumptions (to fill in a lack of knowledge) that were based on inaccurate knowledge. We all do this, but I feel that success, true success often will rely on an accurate assessment of our knowledge limits. Then we can make logical assumptions that are rooted in facts that we truly know. We are all inundated with enormous amounts of information. It is an easy trap to make assumptions, and thereby make actual decisions based upon inaccurate information.

Trading is very easy to do, but very difficult to do well. Why, because it's an assumption problem, a knowledge problem, an emotional problem...It's a brain problem.

CP, again I repeat... with all due respect to you and the thread you started!

I have been watching and reading many threads along the years, here on FF. Some are good, some are BS, some are excellent. As well as the members here...I believe (maybe is just my imagination or I am making wrong assumptions...maybe not) that FF has some very intelligent members that know how to trade, have great knowledge and all. You and your thread are definitely on top! I KNOW that you have found something here and I must admit that you have opened my eyes and made me look for that something

Anyway, where do you think that the money that you're making are coming from? Members of the FF or other forums that are losing and making new deposits and losing again? YES! New generations of people that just now discover forex and of course they think they can do better and lose? YES! Companies and hedge funds that are losing, at least from time to time, but losing big? YES!
So, why aren't we trying to increase that 5% winners by at least 1-2%? So ... Let us give the smartest people here an edge, that something that they require to discover the construct you are talking about.
I, just like you, would not just say it and offer it on a silver platter, because everybody needs to work hard to achieve something and get somewhere, specially when it comes to a 'secret' in forex.

Even if I don't have posts, because I don't like to be public and answer all kind of questions, I have helped some members of the FF, to become profitable, by PM. And I am still trying to help a few of them, which are interested to improve their trading.

So, I will let you, because this is your thread, to give the smartest people here (no names because I don't want to forget someone), an edge! The clues that will get them where they need to be ... at the end of the rainbow.

Don't worry...I am sure in this market will be money for 1-2% more winners.

There is one of your statements I have been wondering a lot about and so far I haven't been able to come up with answer...so i will ask you directly with the hope you can answer it.

You mentioned that in your trading the focus was on the money coming in and out.

my question is:
Is this "influx" somehow visible with the naked eye on tick chart? (or is it a result of a complex calculation?)

I will also take this chance to thank you. Some of your posts were able to turn on the light bulb in my head and have improved my trading significantly.

I understand what you're talking about as far as PI. How did those first few people figure out PI? They couldn't pinpoint it exactly. They knew it was lower than xxx but higher than zzz. So PI could be stated as:

xxx < PI < zzz

I'm curious CP..... What is your win/loss percentage? I realize it may be a pointless question for your style of trading. But for those aspiring trader types, what should they be looking at?

Let's give it a day or so and let's see who will subscribe to this. Haven't decided what 'this' will be, but most likely will be a closed / limited group , maybe Skype group, where the few that will join will hare thoughts faster and exchange ideas (with some little help from me along the way), and maybe will cross that finish line that everybody waited for the last year.

Do not think you will come in the group and something will be just given to you ! You have to think and communicate with others too. I will give that something that CP never talked about, something that I have already given others and more.

We will make the group later after we will see how many are interested.
