Extracted Thread (per thread starter's request)

This seems to be quite the popular question. I would like to know the same thing.

Everyone:

I have never solicited business off the FF at any time. Anyone that paid me for mentoring only did so after approaching me first, and even then they had to pass a thorough screening process. Even so, I still rejected 4 times as many mentoring clients as I ever accepted.

The indis for this system have always been free to the public, and they always will be. I have absolutely no intention of offering them for sale. If I wanted to make money from selling indis "for $99", I have several privately coded indis and EA's that I've owned for over 5 years that I could have been doing that with, but never have. Quite the opposite in fact: scammers and thieves have offered the SSBO indis for sale after stealing them from this very thread. Which should make it obvious by now why only the .exe files have been posted for the latest versions: I am under no obligation to make it easy for the thieves to pull their scams.

Ditto for xux's EA files. They have never been published, and it looks like the probably never will be. But what ever happens, they definitely will NOT be offered for sale. Ironically, now that my status has been changed to Commerical Member I have the ability to do just that -- and still I won't! It's just not what I'm about, no matter what my detractors say. Just because I'm being accused of being a vendor doesn't mean I'm going to rush out and actually start selling just because my status was arbitrarily changed by a faceless moderator with no accountability. I am leaving just as I came in: with my integrity fully intact.

This truly saddens me ForexHard. This thread has taught me so much over the past year and to see it wind up in the Recycle Bin is surreal for me. Even worse, I lose you as a mentor.


I found this thread midway through last year. When I read that first post I dropped anchor. I knew this was where I wanted to be. I then began going through the entire thread post by post; downloaded MT4 and placed little blue boxes on my charts. I told myself I would not dare post until I had hand drawn CZ's for a few weeks and at least began reading through the thread for the second time.


Any passerby who wanders onto this thread and says they just spent a week reading it is doing it half fast. It takes at minimum one month to read each post and extract value alongside doing the manual exercises. Reading the thread catapulted me from where I was a year ago. I had a chance to get to know who you, ForexHard, were as an individual as well as some of the other regulars. The sharing of ideas, epiphanies made, hardships endured and the like are what made this thread in my humble opinion the best thread on FF in a relatively short amount of time.


Yes, the whole system was laid out by now but this thread was far from dead. There were more ideas to be shared, more epiphanies to be made and more hardships to be endured. I wanted very much so to be part of the SSBO community and right when I was going to declare my 100 trade forward test I find my beloved thread in the Recycle Bin. But I understand why you did it ForexHard. Without your guidance it would have became a haven for spammers, scammers and noobs demanding that someone email them the latest indicator and/or EA. I wouldn't want to see it be soiled in such a manner either.


Even though I'm still figuring my way to profitability with SSBO, this thread has changed me for the better. My eyes have been opened to all sorts of different possibilities that I could not have imagined prior. This type of awakening is available for anyone who stumbles onto this thread the way I did.


And it was all because of you ForexHard. You are a great teacher. You are an even better leader. You posses all the required qualities needed to be such. Your posts inspired confidence when I had lost it; reading and re-reading them afforded me a clarity I did not have before. You had your doubters but they could do little in throwing you off balance. The trolls, spammers and noobs whom you battled week in and week out to keep the thread on due course was more than commendable. As long as you were at the helm the ship never veered in an undesired direction. Nevertheless, I'm sure it took its toll on you. It disheartens me that an individual like yourself who has so much to offer has to endure such fates.


If this is to be your curtain call then I would give you a standing ovation sir. As a mentor I have learned tons from you as well as some of the SSBO guys. Jay, HxTrader, Dojirock, SedonaPipper, AltosTrader, C345 and AWOL. Thank you for your insights! Special shout out to AWOL and thank you for your posts.


I would say persevere ForexHard. Any new thread you create would become my go to. I couldn't send you a PM or an email (not sure if you've disabled these options) so I figured I'd post here. I wanted to email you to tell you a little bit about my story and why I trade SSBO in the first place.

I was only wondering where is the EA promised long ago, I was excited about testing it.
I find it not too hard with 2 pending orders and this 1:1 MM, I started to code it by myself,
by putting pending orders based on the latest indi. Unfortunately this is not my highest priority,
so it will take some time to finish this.

Not true. And I don't appreciate having words put in my mouth. My ONLY real PROMISE was to teach you guys how to trade naked charts with pure price action -- which I have done, and then some. The indis were always just an optional extra.

I am happy to have been part of all of this, but my obligations to this thread are complete. Take what you have gentlemen and go change your lives already.

OK, I don't remember the exact words or phrase, I remember reading there will be an EA coming.
Anyway, no problem, I can also put it together.

Hey Forexhard, and everyone else

I started re-reading this thread the 4th time tonight, after just seeing the last 20 pages - when you said the thread would hit recycle bin .

I've done everything ( i hope ) by the book. Read the thread over and over again, found a lot of questions already answered, drew manual boxes 2 weeks, then spent 1 more looking for the optimal settings / pairs for the indi. And now starting to actually test SSBO on demo.

A little off-topic .. i'm 22. I like this business, a lot. I took some courses at a broker, took a test, passed it, and after 2 months i realised i didn't even know why i was winning or losing - had no edge in trading, heart attacks at every trade, moving SL and TP was a daily thing for me.

I quit and came here to find a trading system that fits my needs. And after seeing you all , so happy with this system, racking pips, talking and debating everything, i feel like i've found a .. well, "home". Thank you ForexHard, and all the others that post regularly here, for a system that i'm sure will be life-changing for me if i follow the rules.

So i really hope this thread will continue to be here for debates, and for me to read it .. again, and again , and again.

Can I ask why you use 3 bars long box on 4h instead of longer box in lower tf? Based on my experience the results will differ guite a lot from the history stats with such a short box?

i'm using 4h time frame because it forms larger boxes, and they usually are created at 5.00 and 9.00 am. i'm not taking any trades at night.
so i check it when i get up around 6 o'clock, then again at 8.00 when i get to work. i install my ea around that time, even if the indi signals trade before. the box may look short, but it's half day bars in them. my time frame is gmt+1.

if you look at yesterdays box, i didnt take the trade at signal, but when the price came back to the box, so there was no loss trade.

Ok, i was just sceptical about your settings because the indicator behaves a lot differently in live feed compared to the past history, especially when the box is only few bars long. I have hoped for a while that there would be impovements to the reliability but that propably wont gonna happen.

Dude, why do you want to keep this issue alive? Can't you read, or is your ability to comprehend text and then re-use it at a later time severely challenged? Look at the quote again that you posted. "... a fully automated EA on the way..." followed with "... re-release is expected soon." Is there ANYWHERE in that quote the word "promise", or any other word that even remotely has the same meaning? It doesn't even say that there WILL be an EA or that the indi/EA WILL be re-released.

I hope that you have enough dignity to just let the subject die now without further commentary.

Thanks FXH and all the other contributors over the past 21 odd months.

It might be useful if FXH or the moderators could explain what has happened recently to warrant a change of status for FXH to a commercial member and has consequently resulted in the thread being moved to the recycle bin at the OP's request.

It would be most helpful for anyone considering using this method as laid out in the thread, or indeed for anyone that may stumble upon the thread in the future.

There would appear to have been many followers of the thread, both contributors and non-contributors, and surely some clarity would be most helpful for all concerned.
