DislikedI have a question about a Swing Point that price fails to close below. In such an example in the chart, we would be looking for price to close below the SP for the SFP to be valid, for a short. However, price closes above it thus invalidating the SFP. On the retest, price closes above it and shows us a small PB, I am wondering if Tom would consider this flip in resistance to support also a valid entry and an SFP or not. If you see what I mean. {image}Ignored
DislikedThere is a PDF of Wizards words to be found by clicking the paper clip at the top of the page, hope it helps.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Yes, I have the PDF but a search of the rounded retest really only provides one instance of it and it refers to price coming back to test the SFP.Ignored

Disliked{quote} Ok, not sure what you're looking at there, but as Benem says the basic idea is straightforward. Four strategies in this thread are, Rounded Retest, SFP's, Weekly gap close and a gap close with an SFP as entry being the no brainer bet the farm. Look for RR's of resistance turned support, support turned resistance on H1 timeframe. Trend trading strategy. Look for SFP's in rangebound pairs. Examples: {image} Ideally look for 3 or more swings forming R or S. Trade the retest of that level after the breakout. {image} {image}Ignored

DislikedNice one guys, glad it's clarified a few things for you, just remember this is really the just the basic premise, tradings simple but it's not easy. Lot's of other stuff to get right tooI trade the 5m using Tom's ideas, this is how EU and GU looked intraday to me: {image} {image} Whatever you take from this thread you can be sure that the RR and the SFP are solid concepts in the market. Once you get your eye in it then becomes a matter of confidence to take the set-ups. Banco, sorry can't find a real one but this is a graphic copy of one of...
