Hi SP,

You made a comment about not using the levels during a news event when the market can easily blow through them.
That's a really good point because you have to understand yourself and then be flexible if it fits you.

You can say, "I know how I trade best and these events don't fit it. I'll have discipline and stand aside".
Or, "I know I have to shift gears for these events so I'll use Plan B instead of the usual (levels)".

That is an important point you made. It's saves the grief of banging heads with the market.

Page 80 is the ORB entry. Of course you skip on days like this. NFP eliminates all other types of trading for me other than the NFP style.

I don't really watch AJ but in hindsight for a quick trade, yes it looked ok.

Well I botched it up a little today. I took a trade last night on GU that didn't work out so I was down 1/2% when the day started. Then I traded the wrong bar this morning and lost another .7. I got short correctly after unemployment but took it off way too early so, Net for the day -.4 :-( I am flat now and won't add insult to injury by trying to get anything back today. I will stay out until something good presents itself. If no other good trades come up today I can go to sleep just fine being down .4%.

I still struggle with holding winners every day. I am working hard on it but it is my achillies heel. I am getting better but I still have a long way to go. Luckily for me I have such geed entry strategies that I can get away with some sins and still make money. Interesting that when I opened the fxbook with the last account I lost the first day also. I ended up gaining 37% on that one within one month. Although not typical, it shows the gains that are possible even risking small percentages and maybe I can repeat again this month. Twelve to fifteen percent would be much more typical.

If you guys noticed the leverage on the new account is currently set at 20/1. I will show that you don't need 400/1 or even 50/1 to make good gains in the market.

Did you hold your afternoon E/U short yesterday to target near 3165? I was watching until 10:45 CDT time when it finally hit for me and was wondering if you held. That same level played out nice again this morning, though I didn't enter until the follow through news trade around 3156 and only rode it down to the ECB news spike, but was still good for a nice return. That level has been really good to me today and yesterday.
