No, no more 15min trading for me. Am now up in H4

If I had short the basket yesterday without waiting for the indicator
to confirm the rejection, I would have asked if the Air Conditioner was working
even when it is working at its highest cooling point. Do I need to tell you why ?

Hello Guys,

Well done for carrying this on through the whipshaws and relatively barren runs.

Like a few guys on here I demo'd for quite a while with fantastic results and gained a lot of understanding of the system and tools.
Enough knowledge was gained to write a manual and develop a script that installed all indicators, charts, EA, etc needed to get started.

This was my contribution to help newbies as I once was to basket trading.
I had even started programming some bespoke money management functions into the EA provided.

Then ....
I went live at the very time that a lot of people got shaken out and leaked a fair bit - not a lot but a few bad ones in a row on micro account.
So I left considerable funds in my account and took a break to regroup and study even the more.

Then I found that FF did me a great favour by tucking this away in the commercial section because I was able to get myself up-to-date in one night.

Again great work tnavi, FXOptimus, Dud45 and co for keeping this going and welcome back MR KOS (missed you bro!)


Back to stealth mode now till I have something useful to contribute.

I'm glad to see you back Mr.Kos
I also prefer H4 and think it's the most powerfull, but the only reason not to trade it, it's because need big account, even for 5 pair basket you will need big account and unfortunately from the begining I use it only for observation and confirmation. I'm interested what you do and how you do it.

Do you have special reasons for this. I can imagine that 4h is easier when it comes to active trade management (you can do it within 5min a day and even don't have to miss anything during the night), or is it based on return and w/l ratio?

For me 15min is a large timeframe. Not that I consider longer timeframes being bad, but in trading I have never used charting above 15min (only rangebars that might sometimes took longer).

I will be careful to enter H1 short at that point, in case it bounces off as it has been doing from back.

its not the return and w/l ratio, its simply the peace of mind that comes with it.
imagine in a whole week just 5 trades. The noise is less.

and it depends on personality, some traders don't have that patience

HAS looks for trends but fails in extremely choppy times, but
this one tries to take the curves as price wiggles up or down.

I've been demoing with a 2/3/2/4 on H4. I've been really liking that, but you're right kos, you need to be super patient.

Hi tnavi,

You've obviously got locked down and working so trust it.
I'd personally be weary as this move started hours ago and has already made 750pips.

Also, it looks hazardously close to the H4 HAS which has earned my utmost respect.

Let us know how it goes anyway.

Hi all

Good to see so many traders are back here. The sell order picked up on HAS 15 is going good with +800 points. Waiting to exit on rebound at the channel support.
