ok, go markets servers are failing again, this has been happening on and off now for a two days.

this basically makes their platform impossible to trade without exposing yourself to significant risk, especially given you can not add a SL with your market executed orders.

I have used them for well over a year and while they have had the odd problems, i have completely lost confidence in Go markets as a provider.

there support staff are none responsive and they could not event close out positions during the continuous outage.

my advice is to seek an alternative broker

also consider having a second account with another broker so you can hedge your positions if one broker goes down.

Generally Go Markets is reasonable, and I expect a few drop outs for a few minutes at a time, but its a bit much when a trading platform is out for this long, its been nearly an hour off line now... They obviously have some serious issues to deal with.
I just hope its not costing people a lot of money.

To be honest it is not good enough. Last night ok I get it things stuff up from time to time, but 2 night in a row that's bad, if I had a big account i would be pissed.

Gomarkets platform is down again...I can't log onto their website either.

I still can't connect to GM platform. It's been around 1.5 hours now. I'd just entered a trade as well. Luckily I put in a SL and TP, but I can't remember where my SL was. (this is a eurjpy trade I went long on).

Damn, this isn't good enough, not when I can log on to my Oanda account in the States and trade there. GM business continuity and disaster recovery plans need sorting!

Connection established 9.29pm Melbourne, but can't execute new trades, not even close existing ones.

Yes, offline my end too for over an hour. Plus thier website down. 2nd night in a row now and i bet it will happen again tomorrow night.

Yep, I'm back in too. My trade managed to miss my SL and I managed to grab $100. I've closed it for now - no too trusting of GM's environment/network/platform tonight!

As I'm a newbie - hi to all. Currently based in Melb, although I normally live in Thailand. Just back for a bit of work to top up the fx account.

Why would anyone have an account with GoMarkets after reading the last few pages of this thread?

I've been with them for nearly 4 years, but this unreliability and account suspension stuff has got me spooked. This is what brokers do before they go bust.
