It has been some of my better weeks of my short trading career, I keep learning a shit load everyday, I can bring up my charts now and instantly know if I see anything worth trading. Took a lot of blown accounts to get here lmao


My next trade will be finding a good starting point again for longs, 145ish I am looking

For sure, I am trying more and more to ride both ways like you do, I have been taking it slowly with small positions just until I feel comfortable doing so.

Scalping on a naked chart the last 2 weeks has been the funnest/scariest/ experience yet in trading .

I don't consider anything I do as "scalping"... I don't like being that chained to the charts.

I like to go for 200-300 pips at a time with a general understand of the overall trend so that I can get out at target points and back in on pullbacks. Sometimes it works really well (like last night), sometimes I leave a little on the table (like today).

148.15 looks like a good place to start selling again from the look of my iPhone charts. It may be a bit early, but I'll sell more if it goes higher.

Gotta love the yen. Looking for good levels to buy into for US/YEN, AUD/YEN, EUR/YEN AND GBP/YEN. Green pips long and short, i like it.

I didn't say you were a scalper, just that I was trying it the last few weeks. And from someone who use to only watch the higher time frames it has greatly improved my trading, I have been getting in some solid chart watching hours and it has been great. Even when I am not in a trade or trading I sit and watch the charts, you really start to develop a feel for how things move and why and where they will move to.

I enjoyed shutting down at 3pm and not looking back until the next morning, seems that may fit my mentality more.. I am a trend follower for the long haul but why not have fun with other things ?

I agree -- just watching can be very valuable. I've been watching the 1min more and more and it's really help hone in on entries. Every pair has a pulse of its own and you only get familiar with it by watching and trading it.

Unfortunately, all this volatility is coming at the expense of others. I hope none of you have friends or family in Boston that are being impacted by the events going on there.

I'm on TD and usually have 4-4.5 pip spread. It's now 9. EURJPY usually 2.3-2.5, now 4. It could be due to the low volume too.
