Hi hilavoku, I realize english is not your first language so I understand why you did not understand my post so I'll try to be more clear for you.

This is thread belongs to ForexHard and we owe him the courtesy of doing exactly as he suggests or remaining slient. The reason is, he knows exactly how to make good profits using this particular trading vision and wishes to have us see it too. But if we add a little of this and subtract a little of that then it's no longer the trading vision that he knows works. I hope this is clear for you. Like I said, I am very intersted in understanding SSBO perfectly so I'll not be adding or subtracting anything from it in the future.

TraderJoe, thanks for your participation. I see your posts and charts as a positive addition to the thread.

Do trends "exist" at all? Yes, I suppose their existence can be proven to some degree. But then starts the qualifiers: On what time frame? With what MA setting? Do we count candle wicks, or just candle bodies, or both? Do we correlate pairs in order to confirm the trend? Does the ADR come into play? Or Daily Pivots? What do we consider the trend break? Etc., etc., etc. Once you start, where does it end???? It's enough to drive a rational person off the deep end! And just take a good look around you. Every trading forum on the Web is absolutely overrun with intelligent folks being driven out of their minds with exactly this sort of pointless koan. Once you pull on that loose thread, I promise that you will lose your mind before you ever find it's end.

Here's another way of looking at it. Because trends are supposed to exist, that automatically gives us 2 types of traders: those that will follow the trend, and those that will buck it. But then comes the next logical step which no one talks about: Which of the 2 will win the day? If you know the answer to that riddle, then you can literally become a multi-millionaire within the next 30 days. Ten million dollars can be yours, starting with just $100, if you can correctly guess on which side the trend will fall 5 times a week for the next month.

But since this has never been done, why is no one asking the obvious question of "Why not?" Why has it never been done before? If trends are so easy to see... and to follow... or to counter-trade... where are all the "trend millionaires"? Have I made my point yet, or need I go on?

The bottom line is this: There are MANY man-made distractions in the trading world. But that's just it, they are simply artificial constructs 100% made up from whole cloth from a guy trying to outsmart his colleagues and to prove how clever he is. They are therefore imaginary. They don't really exist if you don't want them to. They only hold as much power or influence over your trading as you allow them to have, period, end of story. I don't know about you guys, but when I look at my charts I want my mind to be as free and uncluttered as possible. 98% of the most common trading principles are just fallacies I don't want to waste even a minute of my trading day considering.

i didn't want to offend you. And i think also you didn't understand my post. I just say the same and stated also FXH opinion when it comes to adding something to SSBO. But its okay for me. I didn't want to be some kind of teacher or someone who knows it better. I'am taking my early steps in SSBO and read every line in the thread.
So no further bad vibes and focus on SSBO again.

I have been away from this thread for the last couple of days and thought I would catch up. I had 4 or 5 pages to read and I must say I was feeling a great disappointment. I was reading about where the market should go, trend lines, daily pivots, and a bunch meaningless dribble. Then FH stepped in and I felt a sense of yessss - thank you FH for the sanity once again.

A week ago I asked a question about how people are using the average pips BO in their trading plan. Any one interested in flushing this out with me?

about your question, half of the average, and no less than 1:1 RR...if there is high difference between long and short average, i take the lower one. better safe than sorry

Funny how the market bounced off the trend line then showed respect to the pivot then hit the 30 zone oh and funny how it hit the 400 yesterday. Keep my meaningless dribble to myself in future. You got a lot to learn keep on demoing I stick to making money. Good bye.

LOL... see this is what I mean by "not your first language". If it were you would already know I was not and am not in the least offended.

What I was trying to tell you in plain english is that, there are hidden meanings in that post that only a person whos first language is english could see. That is all... no offense ment and none taken ok mate

I remember when I was in a place I had no idea which way was up from down. Takes a long time to be able to see things like trends in the real. I know you are a great trader and it would be a travesty to see you upset over anything any newer traders might make in their moment of thoughtlessness

Joe, you are thanking me for the same post that SedonaPipper commented on, yet you are with c345 in ridiculing him (SP). So I am a little confused. Because if you got the same benefit that SP did from that post, then you wouldn't be talking about him that way.

Once more: Maybe trend trading has merit, and maybe it doesn't. Maybe using FIBs has merit, and maybe it doesn't. Maybe Ichi Clouds have merit, and maybe they don't - etc., etc., etc. But the point is, I don't need them, and I am doing my best to explain why and to help others gain the same freedom from stress that I have in my trades. There are plenty of other systems with those 'charting tools' at the center, but SSBO isn't one of them.

He deserved what I said. The market was called correctly using ssbo as its entry point. I;m with you you know that but to ignore the dp and other things when setting targets is mad. To ignore news is mad. Making money infx isn't hard if you eliminate the risk if you enter every trade blind you will lose money. You know what I'm saying and so does Joe.

As far as everything else, I'm confused too because I didn't intend to ridicule anyone. I'll go back and see what happened. Appoligies to any negitives that appeared to come from me directly or indirectly. I try very hard not to judge anyone ever so I'm a little supprised to here this.

As far as trends go (and I hope this can be the end of it) to me the point is not whether they exist or not and whether anyone can trade them or not, trends are not apart of SSBO teaching. So I'll not be using them while gaining an understanding of SSBO because you - the creator - say they're not needed to make money this way and in fact can add more confusion than they're worth. Besides, for me there's nothing like getting to a point where a student (thats us) becomes a master in the creators eyes.

The only thing I do know with 100% certainty, is that I know nothing. Once I came to terms with that reality the whole trading world opened up for me and my win rate tripled. ForexHard

Hi ForexHard, not positive this is a bug but when I change "ArrowSize" from 1 to say 2 or 3 the buy/sell arrows do not become larger. My eyes aren't so good for seeing these so I wanted to make them bigger. On the other hand since I changed my background color to gray I can see them much better because of contrast compared to my previous white background so it's really not a big deal.

Hey Joe,

This is not a bug. This was covered in the thread a few times; primarily by squalou. You cannot change the size of some of the built in MT4 arrows. Have a play around with 'EntryArrowCode' and 'ExitArrowCode' using WingDings if you wish to have bigger arrows. However, be warned as they do not adjust in size as you zoom in or out so they may point to different locations on the chart than the actual entries and exits.

I'd personally rather have my arrows smaller AND point accurately to the entries and exits.

Funny as I have yet to really dig into that indicator. Still trading off hand drawn CZs. I just wish I had more time. My "9-5" is keeping me busy and draining my energy.

Also, I'm on the second read of the thread. hxtrader has just come on the scene!

Thanks ForexHard for everything you have laid out and your continued guidance. I feel similar to SP in that each of your posts inspire confidence; and the confidence you have in your system and the way you stand by it is admirable and truly gives me hope.

Thanks much for the heads up. I to am on the second read... page 21 now but I have to say it's worth it. This time I am going slower and savoring it. As far as the arrows go, I was using a white or lighter background like papayawhip and with those colors the deltas did not show up well at all which is what made me try to enlarge them. But now that I have changed to a gray background, I can see the deltas much better so all is well thanks.

As far as the indi goes, it's not bad at all. I'm still learning some of the settings goodness knows theres enough to keep one busy but they are well thought out.
