Im loading up on EUR NZD longs.

Double top or breakout? Kiwi is going against the overall dollar strength and trending with the US stock markets going back to 2008 (uploaded a chart earlier.).

This daily chart is interesting. I would like to see a pullback to the trendline, roughly .8424. I would assume that with the seasonality of "sell in May and go away" Kiwi will follow.

can start to sell 0.8597, 0.8612 ( fibo line ), 0.8633

SYDNEY/WELLINGTON, April 11 (Reuters) - The Australian and New Zealand dollar soared to their highest against the yen in more than five years on Thursday as investors ploughed into higher-yielding currencies on expectations that they would benefit from a flood of cheap yen.

* Aussie climbed to around 105.26 yen according to Reuters data, its highest since late 2007. The kiwi rallied to 85.65 yen, its strongest since February 2008.
* Aussie seen testing its 2007 high around 107.85 yen. The kiwi's next target lies around 88.10 yen, its 2008 peak.
* Gains against the yen bolster the Antipodean currencies versus the U.S. dollar, driving the kiwi to a 20-month high of $0.8579 in early local trade. The Aussie climbed to a 2-1/2-month high of $1.0553 offshore.
* Aussie faces a hurdle in Australian jobs data. Median forecast is for a dip of 5,000 as payback for February's huge 71,500 increase, but the outcome is even more uncertain than usual and some forecasts go as far as a 40,000 drop.
* Investors wagering some of the massive amount of low-yielding yen the Bank of Japan will unleash onto the market to kick start the country's economy will make its way into Australian and New Zealand assets.
* BOJ easing has been a green light for carry trades as investors borrow the yen at low rates to buy higher-yielding assets.
* New Zealand has PMI data. New Zealand Finance Minister Bill English and a Reserve Bank of New Zealand official will also deliver separate speeches on Thursday.
* Broad gains push the Aussie's trade-weighted index to 79.9, its highest against a basket of currencies since 1985, while the trade-weighted kiwi jumps to a lifetime high of 78.91.
* Market largely brushes off U.S. Federal Reserve minutes showing that some policymakers wanted to taper asset purchases in the second half of the year.
* Analysts say the March meeting minutes are dated, as they precede dismal U.S. jobs and manufacturing data which has cooled some optimism about the U.S. economic recovery.
* Despite the Aussie's strength, Reserve Bank of Australia (BRA) Assistant Governor Christopher Kent on Wednesday said the central bank was a long way from considering intervention.
* Technical signals favour more Aussie gains, after it breaks above trend-line resistance at $1.0520-25, opening the door to the year's high around $1.0600, where offers seen.
* The kiwi sees strong trend-line support at $0.8515, and many in the market believe that holding above $0.8500 will raise the risk that the currency will test its post-float high of $0.8842 hit in August 2011.
* Offers suspected above $0.8600 are seen capping gains in the near term, while some analysts warn that massive New Zealand government bond redemptions on April 15 could see some investors pulling out of the currency.
* Australian government bonds slide as equities rally, with the three-year contract indicated down 0.060 points at 97.140, while the 10-year contract falls 0.075 points to 96.645.
* New Zealand government bonds ease in early trade, prodding yields around 2.5 basis points higher along the curve.

Fresh Fed money plus BOJ fueled good chunk into high yielding NZ and I think it is tapering off.
I have no doubt NZ will cut rates to bring this beast down if it won't come down on its own.

Lets put this another way I could increase my account by 30-40% if price hits 83 in near term.

Shorted as well @ .8596 way too overextended. I agree with the yield searching, but curiously why Aussie fell with the yen but Kiwi stayed strong.

I was thinking the same.It appears there is larger pool of money flowing in NZ then Aussie and its obvious retail traders are essentially out of longs and this is basically cheap yen and dollar flowing into NZ higher yields.
I hate to say this but these guys want 88 2011 high. I want to be wrong but 88 is not out of question.

Lol, check this out. Kiwi correlates with US market. I suppose it could keep going, but we'll be the first to short this crap when the bubble pops.

Hey F4I! No, didn't leave lol. Just needed a break from EURUSD, so been checking out some other threads. Well, overall, I see yen pairs overall bullish, but I wouldn't be surprised of a pull back simply due to the big takeoff. Honestly, a decent pullback would be healthy, but that may not happen.

On the EURJPY 4H is close to being overextended - the daily is - and looks like it is forming a wedge. On the 2M, I like to use for short-term entries and exits, etc. You see the inverted H&S and lead into a channel and double top. Would like to see a pull back. Also included GBPJPY, they follow well.

Check out Yen Futures charts too. Figure out where the yen is going and these pairs will have the inverse effect.

guys! Almost 0.8650 in range! I am really under pressure!

Then unload some of the position for a better set up. I added another short. EMA_RSI on daily is 90. A pull back is over due, but does not mean it won't go higher.

Under normal conditions I would buy the break out, but this mess thinks it's a yen pair

loaded long on GBP/NZD @1.7778 and one more short pending for nzd/usd @.8650

No fundamental reason for a 74 pip spike unless they are clearing out orders. It's kind of silly.
