EURJPY, +20 pips, exited after a long candle crossed all three TMAs (TMA M1, TMA M5 and TMA M15).

Yes, Kijun-sen seems to be a very good filter. And adding LWMA5 (shift 3) is very interesting. So basically you buy if the price is above Ichimoku cloud, above Kijun-sen and above LWMA5 (shift 3), you sell if the price is below Ichimoku cloud, below Kijun-sen and below LWMA5 (shift 3), and you aim approximately 10 pips, but if you can you go further, you exit mostly when the price crossed TMA M1. Am I right?

I reading up on this thread and it turns out to be great with help from other people in here also devoted to make this Strategy even better


I have been thinking of something maybe it is silly, but then again maybe it can work. Just before big news place one big buy and on another account a big sell 10-20 pips double or erase the account will this be possible ?

I don't think it is silly, but I don't think that would work. Big news bring us not only big movements, but also big slippage and big spread's spikes. So it might work in the Ideal World, but Forex is not ideal...

You may try at NFP day .. And let me add, both on positions you put small SL but bigger TP.. For ex. 5pips SL and 10pips TP.. With a lil luck you might gain.. Though it's risky.. I dont see why I need to do that while we gain easily on daily market movement... ;D

Another trade for today. I exit at the yellow line,
Why I entered this trade : TMA 5 is going down, but i didnt pay much attention about that, i think what was important was the retracement, also TMA 1 was below the cloud. Baboon slope was red. It was the right pattern to go short.
Did i trade it the right way ?

U buy and sell before news so u are already in when the news comes and you have 2 accounts one will be wiped out and the other will hopefully gain several 100 percents. like i say 10 - 20 pips and you doubble or loose it all so 60 pips makes one account blow and the other u win 300 percent on.

The problem is: with a small SL you can lose both trades due to slippage/spread's spikes.

toinou21, although it was a little close to the yellow line, but like I said before - if we have a solid "TMA M1 beyond the Ichimoku cloud" pattern and if the M1 Price Action is right, we can enter. You did everything right, paid attention to the retracement, so no wonder you won!

No, jgadefelth, I understood you correctly, I was talking about the slippage and the spread's spikes knowing that you want to buy just before the news.

The key word here is "just".

When you buy or sell just before the news, you never know whether the slippage and/or spread's spike occur, it can be ten minutes later, but it can be RIGHT NOW, at the moment you try to enter.

And if you buy/sell not just before the news, but in advance, so to speak, you can loose both trades very easily. The price can go 15 pips up, then 25 pips down, and that's it!

Yes Favorite, you correctly described entrance rules. But there are nuances about the Kijun – sen line, I while only watch it. The main thought- Ichimoku the clever Japanese, that got won't think up.

Igor, I have another question for you. Your picture shows that you sold when not only the price was below cloud, Kijun-sen and MA5, but also both Kijun-sen and MA5 were below the cloud.

Would you enter where I marked with the red? The price is below cloud, Kijun-sen and MA5, but Kijun-sen and MA5 are above the cloud.
