i am long @ 1.2994 sl 1.2964 tp 1.3070 but market try to broken round number 1.3000.. any ideas gentle man...

Actually if I were u on that 4hr tf u posted I will like price to retrace towards the MAs before considering a long or least retrace to 38.2 fib ratio. If you look at the AUDUSD below u will understand what I mean.

In the audusd chart , after price raced through the 100MA , will allow it to retrace back to the MAs or at least 38.2 fib ratio before looking for opportunity to short. And for eurusd , I wait for price to retrace back to the 30 or 50 MA before looking for opportunity to go long.

higher high formation and swing harmonic if price close green bar above 30 sma long... stop loss swing low, 1st target 1.3068

@coax.007 yes I trade only the hector methos, though I try to trade the 4hr timeframe because of my work schedule and plus I see the lower timeframe too demanding and stressful, you need sit at your computer all day. Meanwhile am still lost as regards news trading, can you share ur news trading method? thanks

Hello guys, It appears this thread is based around Hector's trading methods. I am new to forex trading. I have nearly completed his training videos and am beginning to make some demo trades. I am very interested in following threads based on his methods. Is this the best location to hear about what others are doing with his system?

As it is , this thread is dead, I have tried myself to see if it can be revived but all to know avail. I am also new to forex trading, I will be taking my first live trade in the next few days. I have demoed for 9months, jumped from one system to another, saw this thread, demoed the system, it worked for a while or I should say i didnt get a handle on it because I was jst too new then, then i left to read price action exhaustively, and it finally dawned on me that hectors method is price action at its best expecially when you trade it on 1hr and above. I came back to this method, and i must confess this system rock.....this place is a cemetry, the contributors have gone to the world "beyond", but there are secrets buried here.

The thread is not dead, it's just the nature of trading undertaken under it does not require hourly posts by forum dwellers. I, for example, trade on daily charts and do a few entries per week across 10-12 pairs when time calls for it. This strategy is more about medium to long term participation, therefore discussion is different from traditional threads on pair trading day to day.
Those that can't, teach, and those that can, do.

If you say it is not dead, I had be very glad, cos serioulsly i dont want it dead either. I just wouldnt mind if those trading system can continue posting at least to give newbie like us sense of direction and fastrack our learning curve.

It serves as a reference point for newbies, though, and that's why I visit it almost every day, picking something new almost every time. I'm not much of a conversationalist, rather an observationalist and reader/listener.
As for newbies that I count myself as, it benefits the most to re-read the thread rather than rushing to post questions, as I found it works the best for myself to take time for wisdom to settle in. The answers are already in the thread, and if I don't see it at first I make sure to come back again and again.

I would love to see what trades you are taking even if it is only once or twice a week. I am learning and would to see like to see what you see real time. Rosaferno, you, and I could teach other. I will be spending time reading this forum but there is something else you pick up when you try it and see it real time.

Rosa, maybe the 3 of us can revive it.

Right now I am looking at the AUDJPY on the daily. It looks like triangle consolidation. Price is hitting the 61.8 fib, 100.000 RN, and 50 SMA. I am waiting for it to bounce and break the triangle top.

Are you reading it the same as I am?

mikeinaa, I do minimal analysis and trade off bare daily candle charts. When the price goes below the last position in the direction of my millipede, I let it "settle" for a day or two, if the move is strong I open a new position. I usually do this in increments of 20-30 pips, preferring to open on thirds, halves and wholes, if the movement is particularly clear and strong then I open them every 15-20 pips.
I trade in 0.01 lots and can tolerate 200 pip movement for my top/bottom most position. Last month I rode -220 on CADCHF, now it's coming back. Since I only started trading this year, I'm learning about market rhythm on H4/D1 charts.

This thread is too good to die. I owe NM and Hector and the previous hardcore posters like Shomari and Sky a great deal of thanks as I have learnt so much. I thought I would drop some science on a trade I took last week hoping that it will be of some help to you guys in the future!
