I'll throw in my 2 Cents if you don't mind.

I typically use a 160 pip SL for my swing trading strategy and it seems to work great unless it is a GBP pair and even more so with GBP/JPY! I've started trading GBP/JPY using a 260 pip SL and it is at least keeping me in the trade until price can move in my favor.

Ok,what is usually your R:R and how many % of your acc do you often risk with so wide SL like that?Thanks!

Typical 160 SL 280 TP trade Risk / Reward ratio is 1:1.75

When I use 260 SL I set 320 TP, but not exactly sure what that R:R is though off hand...

I will often have anywhere from 4-8 positions opened per pair at any given time and I trade to trade at least 5 pairs to spread out my risk.

I want to know the % of risk per your postion if we assume that you take the first trade?

And when do you move to SL if PA moves to your favourite way?

I will risk anywhere from 3% - 5% per trade (4-8 positions per trade)

I rarely ever move SL or TP targets. Very rarely...

It means sometime your green pips turn to your red pips and then hit your SL?What do you feel at this time?I guess it's very bad!

alright people, now here's the weekly profile at the end of the week.
we had a close (149.50) way above value area (gray colored). price will come back to test it sometime in the near future (1-2...4 weeks or so), so just keep in mind 146.27 whenever there is a sign of reversal. that's the minimum tp for a pullback (although i am waiting for mid-135 and mid-130 but that's a very long shot at the moment).

good reading here....I've been too busy....and it looks like we can get underway to the up side finally after too long of a wait....I have to get a new keyboard after all this down PA....wore me out!!

Here's how typical the last 6 weeks moves were....a wave four.....did a double three correction followed by a blast outta there big time. for the elliott wave bunch....I have a spreadsheet I'll check and get back with some projection levels....163.xx coming right up.....
ETA....the projections become less numerous after the mid-point of the third wave....and then get really accurate, so this is the gravy time. Intervention, IMO, too! on a Sunday night at 7:30 or 11:30 pm new york time

Over 100,000+ pips since August 2011 trading the way I trade so no I don't feel very bad at all. Next time you should think before you open your mouth and make such a naive remark.

You say one thing but my numbers and statistics are telling me something else.

What do you think of a retest of 148.52 before we blow through 150?
There is added support now since Friday, besides the monthly fib, the 38.2% fib from the last rise is also in that area, just a few pips below.
