At least managed to grab a few pips on EY today, pity it was such a small position The range was already huge when I jumped in

i got in on the asia up move last night
the best part of the move was when i was asleep

very much so hatch. i don't know how anyone can trade without doing that. and with my schedule, i can be flexible and take into account the world news and trade the session that i feel will be a good mover. i haven't been trading the yen long so it's taking me a bit of experience to feel comfortable with it but i am feeling more confident all the time so we'll see

I pay exactly 0 attention to it. Charts tell a story and are generally a reflection of the sentiment. The market digests the news, then shows it hand... simply follow suite!

interesting to hear that but i don't agree. so, let's say tomorrow for NFP day you do nothing different???? i do ... i probably won't get up during the middle of the night to trade the london open but will be up tonight to listen to BOJ Gov Kuroda Speak. london open will be slow and don't know what Gov Kuroda will bring to the table ... maybe nothing also ... we'll see. then i will be back to charts early tomorrow morning getting set up for NFP. i am hoping that i can make a few pips on that and call for an early weekend
In-fact, more times than not, NFP news will generate some amazing r/r entries for swings on the initial jerk fake out direction.
I am, more often then not, on the daily chart or H12 chart. Even the weak zones from here can produce quite powerful kicks, so I do have that protecting me.

I don't do anything different for NFP. Although, I do know I can expect the week to be a little bit more range bound leading up to NFP week, but that is about it. Most of the times, I forget about it unless someone mentions it on here though. Other than that, supply and demand works just as it always does. A zone holds or it doesn't!
