Just spoke with Questrade, hedging is possible on MT4! So Questrade it is!
My bank charges $30 for money transfers outside of Canada so funding my FXCM account would become an expensive endeavour....

I'm assuming the funds in your bank account are in Canadian dollars. That means you can make a domestic transfer to Friedberg's client account in Toronto: http://www.friedbergdirectfx.ca/depo...s.jsp#BankWire

Please let me know if you have any other questions about this.

Yes, I have seen that. But it's the transfers with SWIFT codes that bring up the charge of $30/transfer.

Time for an update...

Shortly after I switched to Questrade I stopped all my trading. I was doing pretty good but felt that I missed a good foundation. Also the Security Commission in my province kept asking questions and they came to the conclusion I should at least be certified to trade for the number of people I trade for. And I have to admit that that took the fun away from what I was doing. All 7 of my associates (people I trade for) stayed with me so I have their confidence.

I started to dig a little deeper into MQL4 and came across Jim Dandy's youtube video's. They were very helpful so I have spent quite a few evenings with a bloc note and pen watching and practicing.
I also purchased a book on Kindle 'Financial Freedom through Forex' which I also find very helpful. Obviously I was on track with the way that I was trading, some of it came back in the book.

For the future I'm not sure what is going to happen. I tried a few trades this morning and I have a feeling I will pick up on trading again soon.

It's been a while...

1. I went to the local office of the Security Commission and presented my case. I was surprised by how little they actually knew about forex trading and I had to give an in dept review of a lot of minor facts. But anyways, a week later they concluded that there was no regulations in our local law but they restricted me to trade for 10 people in total. And I have to get my CSI certificate. They forgot to mention by what date but I started working on that anyway, I like financial markets and I have a feeling this could benefit me in future

2. I stopped trading with Questrade. I'll spare you the details, my only advice if you are Canadian: do not go to Questrade. If you wonder why: google it and you'll get enough red flags.

So now I'm a broker's orphan believe it or not, I'm not trading at all. I started of with Oanda which didn't turn out to be a broker for me, FXCM had superb customer service but an iffy reputation so I'm shopping around now. My children still have summer vacation so for the next four weeks I'm not in a hurry.
