IMO, the EJ is where the money is. Both money making and losing can occur in seconds. Trading the Aussie now is like babysitting an old lady but she won't punch your face.

I have posted quite a few messages this morning regarding the pending pullback. I put my money where my mouth is. To be honest, there is always a chance that my judgment was wrong. My thinking is that I have done my best and prepared to take the worst. If it was a mistake, I would find out why and learn how to improve the trading later.

Just placed a short at the top of this mini-range to average up my earlier low shorts - with a very tight SL though. Along the lines of our reasoning.

I would think it is a zone not a thin line. Ichimoku Clouds are best when determining the R/S levels.

The ending point may occur anywhere within the clouds not necessary the exact level referenced to the prior S/R.

Don't use clouds, although I agree with the zones concept and can appreciate the clouds.

Pinbars are good for a bounce or identifying s/d zones, imo.

Generally, I try to avoid using indicators, but will put them on there to help with EWC or to confirm an idea.

Most indicators were created for the stock markets trading not for the Forex markets. Both have different natures. You are right in this regard but using customized indicators may be an alternative.

Trading without indicators is plausible but difficult. Some chart elements are invisible. These elements can be designed to become visible indicators to the traders.

This is the mind-set problem with overleveraging: any stop-out seems at the time a huge loss (due to the over leverage effect particularly with mini-account sizes such as this one), so the tendency is for me to hedge with a long order but it usually then gets complicated in the end when you never know where exactly the eventual bottom or top of the daily range would be.

Which, BTW, is the basis (the shorts vs longs hedging on one currency pair) with which I have invested the last one month of my time attempting to invent a kind of trading system - to no avail so far.

I suspect most traders would have tinkered with this crazy long-shorts hedge idea one time or the other in their earlier carriers and I might just crack it yet.

I got a feeling this aud triangle is going to last till the bitter end - the current bottom is at 1.0200 - that line will continue to rise as the time goes on - the top with move lower -

at some point aud will make a move outside of the triangle and then things will become a lot clearer. Until then though - I guess we can only try to continue to play the triangle lines with stops outside of those lines.

of course, the lower line of the triangle could also be at 0.98 - depending on which line we are looking at (there is one that's been tested 2 times and one that's been tested 3 times. In fact, the existence of yet another - lower line, suggests that the first line will be broken and aud will head to 0.98 figure before all is said and done.
