ah, this comes out every so often. maybe i'm just well past the point of paying any attention anymore, but i can't remember the last time someone said that something on this forum was impossible. i do note a lot of people saying that some things are just 'bad', 'wrong', 'stupid', 'not the point of trading', a 'waste of time', etc. it's entirely possible for someone to spend the rest of their lives walking backwards. it's not smart, clever, unique, safe, admiral, etc. it's entirely possible... but pointless and a waste of time. it's better to face the world with eyes open, not closed.

well, you lot have fun now.

We're already having fun. We all have the freedom to trade whichever way we want but sensibly. Live account statements have been posted with profitable trades - 60 trades with only 3 losses and account balance doubled in 3 weeks. DNA has posted his live account with no loss. Live trades have been posted with very small SL and the stop moved to BE with 2 - 3 M5 candles I don't see anything wrong in that.

I have already highlighted that a trader should not use 100 pip SL but reduce their risk to 7 - 20 and maximum of 25, and followed with several live trade examples. Favorite was even much generous with 30 pips, and we're all showing profitable live trades daily, and people keep bashing the forum without posting an alternative with their result except Behman8850 (in posts 256 & 257). Yes DNA has caused some stir by his 100 SL system but a good filter has been introduced so traders can reduce the risk and manage trades better.

We thank you for your concern and have taken note. A trader will be stupid not to consider the reservation of experienced traders like you but the final decision thereafter rest with each person.

George I had a quick look at the source code for the ay-PercentGraph earlier and there isn't much in there so it shouldn't be too difficult to modify (I haven't coded for a while so I'm not sure I fancy tackling it) but I'd be interested in a more detailed explanation of what it's trying to show. Ie I understand the H L O is High Low Open., but then are you for example trying to get an alert when there is a lot of movement in 1 currency pair compared to another?

It is really his MM that is key. He is like a poker player.

Say you have 5k you split that into 5 $1ks.

You then have 5 tries at flipping those $1ks into $3k, $4k etc... increasing at an increasing rate, then you sart again with your new balance $8k split that up into 5 and doit again....

I think this is the most sensible post in this thread.

If you are risking your entire bankroll on every trade then eventually a black swan is going to fly by and poop on you and it's all over. But if you divide your bank roll into a certain number of pots then you need a lot more black swan events to take you out of the game. I suspect from messing about with some of the ideas in this thread that you can probably/possibly double your account before you blow it up greater than 50% of the time.

Here's what I would do.

Divide my bankroll into a certain number of pots.

eg $1000 bankroll divided by 5 pots = 5 X $200 pots.

Now my objective is to take a $200 pot and turn it into $400.

When I have $2000 dollars I divide by 5 again giving me 5 pots of $400 each. Again I try to double my bankroll to
$4000, then $8000, then $16000, then $32000, then $64000. Then I take a month off and go on holidays (alternatively perhaps I cry a lot because the last trade blew my account).

I concede that it's a lot of doubling but there's always a catch with trading.

So going from $1000 to $2000 could go like this

5 attempts to double - win win win lose lose - left with 6 pots - win win win win lose lose - 8 pots - lose win win win win win - no need to proceed as you've doubled your pot.


Now that i type it out it does seem like an awful lot of work but I hope somebody can understand what I am trying to say. Basically it's trying to control the risk of the system as it stands and turn a guaranteed eventual loser into hopefully a long term profitable system.

Finally it's quite easy but there some things to have :
1) A broker allowing direct hedging
2) an ecn broker is better cause spread is small

and now how i do this :
i open a trade in the same direction than daily trend and finally if it goes the wrong side i open another position like a stoploss

Try another trading broker; there must be something wrong with the broker platform you are using

Thanks for the information. I will check the sites.

On the ayPercentGraph indicator - yes you are correct about what I am looking for - the active and volatile currency pairs, because this why I can concentrate and look for trades on only those pairs. Xlitang is also trying to work on the modified copy I sent him.

Sure! Unfortunately I'm not sure whether the noobie can follow it successfully.

The simple rule: I trade M1, mostly EURJPY, I buy when the Babon becomes blue (the second candle) and the price is above the Ichimoku Cloud. That sounds very simple, but I also pay attention to the "big picture" (H1) and I want to see the right Price Action (higher highs and higher lows), and that is such a big subject that I can't explain it in this post or in this thread.

The same for selling: red Babon, price under Ichimoku Cloud, right H1 big picture, lower lows and lower highs.

I set the emergency stop 30 pips (as I already explained, these are locks, not stop-losses, another very complicated method, not for noobies) but I exit much earlier if I see that price went against me.

Another very complicated subject - the exit. Sometimes I take 4-6 pips, sometimes 15-30 pips, that depends on the price movement, momentum, I also pay attention to the Babon's angle etc., that is another thing I can't explain here.

Hi Mr Favorite, I remember some time back you had a system using MTF TMA bands, I think two of them, do you still use that system? Is this scalping now your only system you use, or are you just experimenting?
