Another trick for you guys - I trade off the M5 TF with the LCSM but watch the M1 LCSM. Before I enter a trade, I want to see the M1 LCSM leading and the M5 LCSM following. I also have a dashboard that monitors all the individual currencies, and then my 28 pairs for the most active for the day.

Look at the M1 LCSM - all the lines have converged and no trade until they begin to move again. This was why I said in my first post on this thread that every move starts from the M1 & M5 TFs, and the HTFs play catch up.

Take a peep but please don't ask for anything. I am still in the forex lab working, and lots of things are work in progress, so no distraction

Then divide the $ amount by the number of trading days in the month, to give you how much you need to make daily/weekly and you begin to see the possibilities.

I only take 220 pips monthly... not much maybe one trade a week or two.
100 pips a day....Thats too much work for me.

So let's summerize:
- The hyper-asymmetrical TP/SL ratio doesn't give an edge by itself.
- The expectancy of the system is negative, so no money can be made long term.
- No MM can possibly turn it, nor any other losing system, into a winning system (http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...87#post6379487)
- This particular MM makes the strategy collapse under its own weight due to the increase of lot size after 40 winners: the first loser kills more than 40 previous winners since the R:R=1/40.

Also note the OP didn't follow his own rules (see the explorer).

What actually matters on the explorer is:

win rate 91.2%
Avg Winning Trade: 6.2% ($243)
Avg losing trade -26.3% (-$2,449)

The point is proven. End of........

I agree with you that the system will not give any edge if a 100 pip stop is used, and you continue to trade with the kind of lot size he just used. But the question is, can we make few adjustments to his system and make it profitable. I say yes, and that's what each trader has to do, and chart a course for themselves. The reason 95% of traders lose is because they refuse to get educated and understand the reasons why the market moves in a particular way. There are those who don't trade with indicators and bash those who do; because they do not understand how to use those indicators, and they label them lagging but there is a way you can combine 2 - 4 lagging indicators, and turn them into leading indicators. You don't believe me, visit the Genesis Matrix Trading thread. Read this IFR/VFR analysis from the same thread. Traders are researching daily into how they can improve their trading system, and so should we.

Go to the SonicR thread, and see how Professor TAH claims their system is the best, and yet you can't explain the rationale behind some of his trades. And I quite agree that they have a great system. The combination of the SonicR with the GMTS will produce a winner any day. TAH has been shorting the Euro since Monday and adding to the losing trades with mental SL, while we have been taking little pips on the long side, and should the market reverse, then we'll follow the market again. And of course, he does warn traders that they are scout trades.

We can still scalp with a bit of commonsense IMHO. Just my 2 cents. And don't forget - there is no competition with other traders. You reap what you sow into your own account

Read my post from the very beginning, and I posted my live statement too. I don't trade the way he does but believe in the principles of what he does. Just don't use 100 pip SL. I am not learning from him, and that is why I am making some positive contributions rather than bashing or criticizing him. I love constructive criticism - tell us what is wrong, and how it can be corrected, or how you trade.

Just missed my GJ re-entry trade No distraction again. This is the kind of scalping that I am talking about. There was an established trend, price pulls back, and we wait to re-enter on the M1 or M5 TF as price resumes the trend. Period.

This is the kind of scalping that I love to do. Identify a setup, wait for the pullback, watch both M1 & M5 LCSM and enter as price closes above/below the 12MA with stop below the setup candle, which must not be more than 7 - 20 pips or at most 25 pips. See how Stochastic engages and embeds from extreme OS position. And someone will tell me, it is a lagging indicator!!!

I rest my case, and will concentrate on my trading - just missed 40+ pips in the GJ long I have been stalking since it's pullback. I will retreat into the background, and show up once in a while.
