Build 479

Anyone else having issues running EA's on this new build? I had to re install MT 4 from MBtrading website and the new version is 479 but when i go to run the EA's over night the EA's stop working and there is no errors on the log files. They were working fine till Tuesday of last week. The only thing happening is the "off-quotes" error in which i have to close down MT 4 and then re open it to get it to work again.

This is for a live account.

Hi Jacioux,

I will check with our support team, but I have not heard of any issues along those lines. If anyone else on this forum is having similar problems, please let me know so we can help figure it out. However, if it is the new MT4 build that is causing the problem, you might want to check also with Metaquotes. I will see what I can find out from our support guys.

Oanda beats MBT in my estimation. I'm demo trading MBT and it can't match Oanda's speed for order entries especially like stop limit orders to buy or sell short. Until an ECN can deliver that I'm staying with Oanda and the simplicity of trading off it's charts. Haven't seen any of the complaints posters here have concerning Oanda. Money is easy in and out. Placing orders easy. If you have a decent system and good trading character one can make $. All this stuff about frozen screens, geitting locked out, traded against, stop loss hunting are a part...

i had great time with oanda also i started with them with 5000$ in 2003 i think they are good too for small traders and medium size traders and they have institutional accounts also i was a big fan of them and i am still i may have got disappointed with there platform freezing or disconnecting but i recommend them to any one that want a more safe trading i have a bad opinion i wrote after i aquired some loss i will delete it oanda are fantastic i think and sorry lossing money really make you loss your nerve .about 6 i mean six providers
sorry oanda again .

Thanks for the unreadable pitch, but this is an MBT thread and I think I'll stick with MBT. Tried Oanda, too many issues. Good luck with them.

Can you take a look at this issue? Fiberangel confirmed he has the same problem. I can provide any additional details, but it's pretty straightforward: the orderbook isn't working on the MBT Mobile platform.

Is anyone using the mobile platform?

For the past few days I haven't been able to access the orderbook. It either times out telling me "Operation Could Not Be Completed" or it claims I don't have any open orders, although if I am at home I can see on my PC that I do in fact have open orders. Very frustrating when I want to modify/cancel open orders and don't have access to a PC, I have to call the helpdesk to have them do anything I need.

Has anyone started using the "New MBT Desktop Pro" announced in an email to current users on March 2? It is referred to in the email as a "new Release Candidate version of MBT Desktop Pro", which makes me a bit hesitant since it sounds like a beta version. Upon checking my DTP for a newer version, it says that my version (2.1.0.59) is up to date. That also makes me think the "New" one is beta, but I would just as soon start using the new one now if anyone of the more experienced users here are using it without concern.

Release Candidate means that it is beyond Beta. It's always best to let early adopters grab it first and pound away on it to see if they find anything else. I'm running it and it seems great for my needs. Some nice feature tweaks.

The charts eat a lot of resources on my XP PC.
They max out my multicore system.

I have nothing on them, but Bars & volume.

There seems to be a leak.

E.g. the DOM alone or multiple DOMs run nicely.

Is this a known issue ?

It happens with the current RC and the final version.

TY

If by "scalper" you mean you are buying selling pretty quickly at market, probably FREE EXN. If you are buying and immediately putting a Limit order to take you out, then PFL.

While Justin is very helpful and attentive,

I think it would be wise to open a ticket on MB's site in Account Management, clearly explaining the problem.
...Then Cashiering can fix whatever is not happening the way you want.

This is a general discussion forum and probably not the quickest solution to your deposit problem.
Open a ticket or call the trade desk.
