hEY, I've just arrived a week ago to this thread but it's so clear in the basics S3 principles "never enter before London open". I think it's a MUST. And the crossover seems secondary in that case...

Sorry, I'm almost newby but this seems to me very clear... What do you think?

That rule applies to those currency pairs which X-Man trades on regularly basis and in general that rule has to do with market liquidity.
The reason is simply because we want to trade in ligh liquidity periods of the market and this happen more often in the London and US sessions. The Asian sesion shows lower liquidity when we compare to the other two market sessions.

There are Asian seesion where you can have good trades on ceratin currency pairs and you have to know the market condition of that particular day. Asian market reacts to the European and US markets and when there are key data release of domestic data of Australia and Japan. For these reason, I look for intraday trade opportunties in AU, AJ and EJ during the Asian session.

Keep close tab on the market open and closing hours of every market session. Back-test and make your own observations and examine the results - like how many setups were there, how many pips range traded for the market session and for those setups, and those events/ key data releases of that day for e.g. bank rate annoucmenets, GDP data, Retails sales data, etc.

Also take note when the Daylight Savings Time (DST) changeover and market sessions open and close hours are changed.

EU is Buy only to be on the safe side.
to watch 1.3045 and 1.3075

Is there difference between a game plan and rules?

and is there any example of a trading plan , rules in this thread

I would like to view an example for game plan and rules for this strategy , a live one

Hi I used the attached PDF as an outline for my own plan.

Its a very personal thing and what works for one person may not for another. I think you need to add your own rules accordingly.

I have my version printed and within eyeshot when I trade.

here is attached few pages out of a book. Generic stuff, but it should give you some basic idea of the subject.

Once you know what a trading plan/game plan should include, you can start to write your own for your trading S3 H1.

There are quite many things which will need to be documented in your trading plan and I won't want to discuss nor share here in this public forum.

That's fantastic profit in pips.
@$10 per pip, trading one standard lot each, that makes $8200 in one week.

How does that translate into profits measure in terms of your initial risk "R" per trade?
If your initial SL is say, 50pips that wouild be your trade R.
If your trade final TP gave your 100pips, then your trade result would be a 2R trade.

Are people here still using the SHI Channel? I took a look at the MTF posted in the last post of the first page, but the daily channel doesn't even make a lick of correlation on the chart compared to the actual channel that's there. (I'm looking at the EU in particular)

The yellow is the 4H channel, which looks, alright, but see the orange for the daily channel?

The post at the start of the thread says that using the daily channel it holds better, but it's the opposite to the 4H channel

I had the same issues.
I removed the channel since its confusing me. Its overcomplicating things for me .
X-man used the channel to pick the top/bottoms of a reversal and to avoid taking some entries. even without channel its working gr8

Thanx i was only able to catch 400 pips out of 820 . The rest of the setups i just watched how the price is behaving , and what would be my result if i had entered according to the method. Im doing backtest since jan 11 on 20pairs by pressing f12, and doing demo for now. I will post the results when im done .
