Double hammers on the daily. Went long 1.0233 in morning, added another position @ 1.027. Looking to tp @ 1.032 at least. Then maybe wait for retracement to buy again later.

Ditto on USDCAD. Short @ 1.0230 looking for to tp around 1.0070

We are at hourly 200 moving average. Watching closely here.

1.02's strong support, but interest rate announcement on tuesday, let's see if this boat rocks.

Thank god missed my stop by 8 pips yesterday.

Hello all,
the Dollar Index is the King and it's good to analyze where/when it could top-out. This is my latest analysis for it, which could be useful to trade all the major currencies trading against USD.

The Dollar Index could be very close to a reversal. On the daily chart, the sequence of measured moves higher, which was currently trading in extensions long, failed with price moving below 82 (I had indicated that level in the free weekly Newsletter). That failure, along with the traditional long that offered support yesterday and today (see scenario 1 below) is pointing to highs at 82.78-85 or slightly higher.

Following are the two scenarios I was able to identify. I think the second scenario has less probability to take place:

Scenario 1. After failing the sequence of measured moves higher, with price moving below the 82 level, the Dollar Index found support in the same area. The 81.90 level held indicating a target in the 82.78 level. This is very close to the 82.84 first target of the failed extension long (Busted setup pattern). So I anticipate price moving into the 82.70-90 and then a swift move lower due to profit taking.

Scenario 2. There is still a possibility for price to continue higher, but that would mean that the Euro-Dollar could not find participation at the 1.2900 area.

I have been short aussie since last september. And what have a gained? Basically nothing. Same with my December 2014 eurodollar futures short position.

Didn't fall as hard on NFP and unemployment news compared to EUR and GBP - suggests positive sentiment on AUD.

RBA would love this thing to move a bit higher to get a good selling point.

My projected range for the week come out at 1.0104 to 1.0278.
My bias is to the short side so towards 1.0278 I will look at any hourly TF sell signals I see.

The high Australian dollar is forcing corporate Australia to become ''leaner and meaner'', economists say, prompting manufacturers such as CSR to cut hundreds of jobs.


CSR said it planned to shed 150 staff from its Viridian glass business, west of Sydney, blaming the ''persistently high Australian dollar'' and weak construction market for multimillion-dollar losses in the glass business.


However, HSBC chief economist Paul Bloxham, formerly with the Reserve Bank, said the dollar could not be blamed for every economic problem.
He said the high dollar might be helping to fix Australia's weak productivity problem.

Took 2/3 off @ 1.038 from 1.0233 and 1.027. Will rebuy later if it retraces significantly.
