hi charvo.. it's not necessarily about the a few pips, its about playing accordingly to your trading plan with fully and patiently waiting for you confirmation to form a full signal.. in this case I did not place order with the necessary buffer to be triggered and went in with a premature manual entry.. resulted in not having a signal to begin with at where i entered and the real signal arrived couple candles later for a nice NBT setup profit.

anyways this kind of thing happens even to me as a experience trader from time to time so i wanted to...

Dean bro please keep going im learning shitloads of good stuff from this thread. I just cant post too often because of working in my fulltime job and when trading that needs my full attention as im still learning. Keep the awesome job up!! I will try to post one of my entries every day now to keep up the discussion .
Got one question: Do you always look for tripple tops/bottoms or in certain spots when the trend is reversing, double tops/bottoms are good enough for you?

Hi Dean,

First of all congrats on this good thread. It's a very noble and good thing of you to share your own trading experiences with others so we can learn from them too.
Although I don't have a lot of time to actively contribute to this forum, I do come over once and a while to check on some posts. (Have a very busy live. )
I must say this is one of the better (active) threads on the forum and I've dug up my old account info just to let you know!

So keep up the good work and I wish you as many pips as possible!

Regards, Werner.

I hear you bud, but i am a energetic guy, so when i see lack of enthusiasm it automatically dismotivates me, eventhough i know there are a lot of viewers.

To answer your question.. i prefer triple tops. On reversals it's a must.. but on flat PA/band a double top will do it, however, the flat-ness must be clearly visual and well established.. but when trying to spot it early like couple of trades i done this week you would need the 3tops for higher accuracy and long term success.
.. and actually 3tops in my book is like this:
1st one.. is just a level line..
2nd one.. is reaction/bounce to that level line..
3rd one.. 2nd reaction/bounce.. so this is actually my double top/bottom.

here is Dean changing the whole DB/DT definitions in his crazy way

I hope it helps.

Dean, I've been quitely following your thread for a long time and I really appreciate what you do. I've only been trading live for about 6 months but studied and used practice accounts for about a year before that. I never really was able to get some consistent results until I started trying to follow your methods to the best of my ability. So again, thank you!

Quick question that I'm sure you've answered 100 times, so I apologize... but can you remind me of your recommended stop loss setup or maybe point me to the post where it is discussed earlier on?

Bacc.. here is a live example of just a DB for reversal on a trend that at that time was not even too strong..
that's why it's so important to look for more confirmation for long lasting success.
I was gunning for this setup but easily got rejected.. you see it can fool you with db more times than it can with triple.. sure you might get less trades but more accuracy will save more than what you would have made with more trades of DB stuff.. just off my humble experience.

thanks for the kind words and your attention to the thread.. it makes me so happy to hear all you guys success, after all thats what its all about.

the stops always goes behind the last recent LL/HH of the signal. and it is the same on all three setups. if your not clear still let me know i show it to you in a pic, you could check out my previous live trade and you will see where my stops are always.

Mel.. my friend you have not missed anything.. those are not valid SBPT setups.. the swings that you see don't offer enough strength and is visible with simply counting the size of the swing and ma100 not drawing out or overlapping at least.
but we did have a SBCT sell setup on ej.

anyways don't knock yourself down.. try to see the true face of the PA and not it's deceives.. and sitting on the hand when there is not valid setup is a good thing, just don't sit on it too hard .

gu sbpt setup setup short..

da breakdown..
solid swing (80+ size) band striking.. ema well drawn out to show the swings strength for possible continuation.. RR of 1:2, it's solid all around.. does it mean it will be a winner.. NO who knows.. but it's got the probability in your side.

+30 target at LL was good..

This was a solid SBPT setup as i mentioned it at entry time and result was rather a easy profit.

guys.. this has been a tough market last a few days.. but i like this kind market as well as when it runs and gives many SBPT setups. the reason i like it is to see and appreciate how it keeps me on the side line when there is lack of strength when i look for MOM trades and saves me money. it's a win by itself when preserving what you have taken in the past.

this was just on MOM setups perspective. of course we got plans of it's own for such market conditions with other setups like NBT.
so got a all around system by patiently picking up your spot before getting in on a timely manner for higher success rate.

if you got any concern or questions or unclear about my saying above let me know and i break it down for you.

so close to ej buy trigger here if your following along.. the more it stall here and make touches to LL the better of a bounce up.. but if breaks the LL firmly all bets are off for this setup.. remains to be seen, buy order is still intact.

now.. the eu and gu are good for mom.. but also a SBCT setup is possible too, to make money on the PB or a possible reversal.. but definantly and for sure you'll need a 3b (tripple bottom) before you do it. remember your going against a strong 5m atm trend.
are you with me!!..

when market moves all kind of possibilities arises and you can gun it down from different angles, it's yours to take it.. but, but,but with patience and diligence, by picking your spot correctly according to your predefined plan.
