The lesson today: never discount the beast!

These moves were brutal today, and I can't say I'm sad I slept through the first half (the drop).

I'm now hoping we can rally to 141.20 and I can close out my trades... start next week fresh.

Wait until the monthly bar would turn red, you might miss a massive march bro, anyways good trading and have a good weekend

Just woke up to see that I missed out on about $5k worth of profit if only I had kept my positions opened...

Most of my trades are automated. However, due to the MACD being in a down trend for so long signals are still saying Sell so I am not using them at all right now and have been manual trading this week.

Also, I step in every once in a while to intervene regardless. The EA doesn't detect support, resistance, or price action...

Will your broker honor your stops if hit over the weekend Geppy?

Mine won't which is why I always try to be flat unless a couple hundred in profit.

I haven't posted GBP/AUD results but there is over 50,000 pips made between the 5 currency pairs (4 listed above + G/A) using basically only the EA since September 2011. However, I do still enjoy manual trading and chart analysis

I can relate to what you are saying. My system works better when we are total trending mode.

I think the JPY corsses are going through a transition, but in any event there has been some serious volatility lately.

My system works better in a trending scenario however I am modifying it.

The system that I follow is listed in my profile in detail. To be honest, I have no idea about your system due to your posts being so vague and your lack of charts...

Anyway, I have not posted anything because I am forward testing it now.

I am not going to mislead anyone by telling them that my system has passed the trial phase.

Honestly, I have no clue. The only time I'm adamant about being flat for the weekend if there's something really big doing down... like a G20 meeting.

Thanks man! I'll be honest, I tend to lose more when I intervene so I try to let these trades go and let them do what they do best. It's hard sometimes though when my bias goes against them and emotions get involved... LOL

Yeah I rarely do. If I do have to/want to hold over the weekend I remove all stops. Like GU last week opened 100 pips lower. If I had a stop set 50 below the weeks close, they'd take me out at the 100 lower open. If I have no stop, I'm still in the trade. Kinda screwy...lol

That being said... that sucker is DUE for a bounce and it should be a nice lift to Geppy when it does.
