John, i like ur idea "new thread as a more direct source of information with less noise". i visit ur thread when i see this is all about for aud/usd. its really very helpful. continue it.

Lasy, you are right, 100%. bUT...HOW DOES ONE PROCEED WITH CAUTION? When 400 pip swings take out day and swing traders,if you make your stops smaller, you just have to keep re-entering. So what is the answer? Maybe it is to make the stops bigger. Or.......have an alert to tell you when something abnormal is happening ,but then...which way do you go? with the suckers and follow the momentum, or sit back and wait for resumption of trend? So many variables. For me, I need 2 systems, one for 60 min bars one for daily to feel comfortable in most conditions. Anyone else here have solutions?

How frequently will you post messages in this forum? How much technical analysis can you provide per day? It's easier said than done. This is a very narrow approach thread. Unless the traffic can pick up in a timely manner, you may see fewer people like you visiting this forum.

Having said this, I still wish John's thread a successful one. He may have to devote more time and energy to run this thread in a more attractive setting like running a profitable business.

About 30% of exports go to China. China is currently not good. Plus RBA says that AUD is overvalued. This think is going to tank sooner or later.

Hi all,

Prior to market opening would like to post this pic, monthly outlook on AUDUSD using the daily chart.

We are ranging between 1.015 and 1.06, a break below 1.015, I believe would see us down to parity and a break below that, targeting previous low of 0.9663

If 1.015 holds I predict a bullish rally to 1.06 a break above 1.06, I will post later.

For new traders: I made this analysis using tops and bottoms

Fundamentally, the below-expectations non-manufacturing PMI data could cause the Aussie Dollar to continue falling and break the 1.015-1.020 zone support.

But it is non-manufacturing and is less correlated with the AUD than the manufacturing PMI.

So we will undoubtedly see a bearish gap, size is the question, but whether is has any impact further out than a trading session we will be in the dark.
Perhaps a scalp with TP closer side of market close.

Draghi also had a speech after market closed, so the Aussie Dollar could also experience a gap, either making it bigger, or somewhat balancing the effects.

Whatever it is, A gap is expected in my books

No real gap on the AUDUSD...

Suprisingly no gap from Draghi's speech after Market close.

Anyway, Fundamentally just viewing USD-based pairs,

the EURUSD and GBPUSD, have fallen 7 and 12 cents respectively, the AUDUSD has fallen only 4-5,

Now I think it's fair to say that the Aussie is favoured over the Euro and the Pound.
And pairs have dropped due to USD strength.

I believe when the USD Index reverses and estalishes a bearish movement, the Aussie will rise more than the corresponding USD-based pairs...

Just collating thoughts here really, memory bank

Yes I'm expecting the USD index to reverse too, how much more or less the AUD, EUR and GBP rises against the dollar.. will see.
