The shadow box shows the same length eg 30 bars not your pre-set range e.g. 25 pips

Thanks oz, the length I understand, its the height that's throwing me off a bit. Referring to the quote the EU should only be 21 pips tall not 67 then.

I've noticed that it will form the shadow grid around the swing high/low of the breakout trade based on the bars formed in the initial zone

First off Nick, you're not using the most recent version of the indi.

Second, please spend a few days experimenting with it, and all it's settings & inputs, etc., before asking for help in how to use it. This exact question was answered about 7 pages back, if you had bothered to look.

I probably got in this too early, I should have waited for a close outside the CZ rather than a simple break of it.

Here is a perfect example, hot off the presses, of why it is so fucking important to treat the custom indicator with respect.

Notice the Net Pips line -- red numbers.

Then look for the Recovery 4 and Recovery 5 lines -- bad values that nobody would want to trade with.

But just a few hours ago all 3 lines were showing completely different, and totally acceptable values! Go back and look at my last couple of pics posted in here to see what I mean.

So what happened, why the serious discrepancies? Why does my dashboard show such awful results even though I haven't changed my settings for weeks?

Answer: Because my brokers chart just crossed the midnight time zone line, and some older data has fallen off the end of my 100-day data stream.

We have discussed this phenomenon before several times. But it's good that it happened today of all days, in light of the current discussions we've been having about how best to treat the indicator. And it highlights the need once again of leaving your settings alone and not giving in to the temptation of changing them. You just can't make these same observations in a daily or weekly hunt for the best sweet spot. When it does come time to make changes, you got do do all your tweaking in one day, and then let it stand unchanged for WEEKS. It's the only way the system and the custom indis will ever makes sense.

Imagine not knowing what I know about my charts, and then imagine they were yours. Literally from one day to the next (1 hour, if you think about it) you went from having world class results, to having the worst results of the last 6 months. Unfortunately for many of you, you would already have gone in to your inputs, trying your damndest to curve fit your way to another positve dashboard readout, and you wouldn't stop until you had it. And if it turned out that you couldn't get it, you'd be closing out that chart and replacing it with a chart that you were able to curve fit the same way as you had it yesterday on G/U M15.

What have I changed? Not a damned thing. I took a screen shot and then came in here to post this message. It may take another 20 or 30 days for this same chart to once again show the same type of positive results that I had yesterday. So what? I've been faithfully watching this pair for MANY weeks by now. I know exactly how it performs, and it's not going to change now just because my dashboard is "acting up". Plus, the one part of the dashboard that never shows bad data ever, is the Breakout Long and Breakout Short readouts -- the ones I use to help me pick out my QTP values, like I said earlier today. Regardless of what the Net Pips line reads, those lines will always be correct and up to date.

I really and truly hope that I'm getting through to you guys, because honestly, we are never going to stop bumping heads over this type of stuff until you start doing exactly as I say -- which is, ironically enough, a whole lot of nothing. I never thought in a million years that I'd be begging a bunch of people to set back and do NOTHING in order to help them succeed!

Out with 26 pips. nice.

= 66 pips all by SSBO

OK guys, it's time for another update. I am really proud of this one. It's the first edition of the indi that accounts for Spread in all of its calculations. Starting today, the Net Pips number really is the actual net pips you might have earned over your default Days Back. Not only that, but as you will see as soon as you have it installed, it updates on every tick! Simply amazing! Ever since this thread started we have had people come in here and accuse me of exaggerating my wins and my earnings. And at least one of our regulars quit posting in here because he thought that I was not including the Spread in the indi on purpose, so he left and hasn't been back since. So not only is Xux99 the first coder to actually enable the indi to use Spread in every calculation, what it shows backs up this system 100%. We now have concrete proof that the so-called SSBO edge is real, and rock solid, even with Spread deducted! Load it up and see for yourself!

Along with the Net Pips you will see this symbol: [245/23]. The first part (245) is the total number of pips being deducted from your trades; and the second part is the difference in pips just since the last tick change. Both parts update at the same time, in synch with the Spread calculator in the upper section of the dashboard. Note: In case this new feature is using too much CPU memory, or in case you'd like to test with a specific Spread value, this feature can easily be turned off. Just look for the FixedSpread parameter inside the inputs window and change it to your desired Spread value, and all testing will be made with that value only.

All Longs/All Shorts has been re-named to the more appropriate Breakouts Long & Short, and they have been moved to the lower section.

Consecutive Losses & Wins has a new component added: Current Losses & Wins. This was a special member request.

Oh boy - this is gonna be fun. Let's see what we can do with this.

SendEmail, SendNotifications, ScreenShots and Alerts options are now two digit values. For the first digit, 0 means no action, 1 means an action only when a trade is opened, 2 only when a trade is closed, 3 in both cases. For the second digit, 0 means no action, 1 means an action when a new CZ is formed.

Im sorry to ask a stupid question, but with screenshots do you need to do something to set them up? I get alerts for a trade but never a screen shot?

edit: I know Im going to get a beating for this question....

I use an external utility for screenshots. I think MT4 has it inbuilt but since I also want screenshots outside of MT4 the external utility is best. Google for a dozen free ones.

Actually, under the Menu File > Save as picture will give you a gif or bmp. My external gives me jpgs which are more convenient to me.

Sorry but I mean, when it alerts you to a signal does it send you a screen shot also? or am I misunderstanding?
