In any case, European closes and ES opening range at decision point intrday for the FOMC. Commodities getting hammered and Euro flirting with a fresh break down in this H4 .... no man land until FOMC and the close...

If I do the math from 6377 towards 4216, we are right at the mid now. If I look at it from 6308, the mid sits at 5262, but then the respect for it's upper mofu doesn't fit...

Go back a bit further back as there are 4 major swings lows (dec 10 / oct 11/ Jan 12 / Jun 12 and now) in that Strong FA and TA support....my 2 cents: maybe the one in Jan 12 is the one you are looking for...

Yes I know but that is exactly what is happening (the compression triangle range we have been the last 2 years is part of that). The point is that you cannot dismiss the even major swing this time (is long term chart vs mid term chart vs short term charts in play at +/- the same levels)...Only very seldom and every few years you have such major levels in play at the same time.

My point is that you need to look back a bit further back from the all time high swing 2007 (long term 1.533x) which is the major play at these levels (track only with Quarterly) and going down to that 1.527x which is mid term (played with monthly/weekly combo) and only after the short term (that 1.526x which is played with Daily/H4)...sounds like a bitch but it is a bitch as there is a very unique confluence of major TA levels there in addition to strong FA support (1.530x) via monetary policy ....

your doing it right, many dont know the rules we are using and think we are going to drop or rise immediately when a # is reached. we both know this is not the case. its why we look for weakness..at key predictive locations. locations most dont see until we are there.

Here is a quick chart for reference only with that long/mid term confluence. Blue is long term, red is mid term.

In the case of the chart there are only basic S/R but in your case you may want to just adjust to your mofus and extra calculation to have those "exact" levels to the pip (as you know me I am not interested in the in between or to the pip points) ...in my case are irrelevant as the issue here is the main direction not the technicalities on how to trigger a fade or a break and how to manage targets and stops...and like always although Gator may disagree with me ..the only mofus in my case that have value are those with the support of price via S/R levels...but to each its own.... point and direction is the same...

Fat finger in Gold has a name now but basically we have clean map for the FOMC minutes. All markets down on air now, a hand from the FOMC (nothing special expected but minutes are minutes like in the morning with the UK) and we may finish with very decent moves across the board....too late too jump in for any potential moves so if you missed the moves..... GL all already in or waiting to jump in ...

Expanded view on Cable fwiw..

Monthly charts point to very deep targets off the broken triangle, targeting schiff/channel medians.

Weekly views have the earlier posted daily fork, current HLH (magenta) with a larger timeframe fork (aqua) measured across the range. The weekly target for this fork comes in 5185ish The range's center-point (time), has a mirrored reflection point marked by the red arrows.

My $.02 5185 should cap the movement this week, leading into a correction/retracement phase.
