Some day a MT4 geek will make up a dashboard indi based on the this indi to scan all pairs and look for potential CZ's

Sorry to say it was a very bad day for eurusd, whipsaw to death ....
I don t take any trade - i just saw it and everybody shows only good trades so i think its good to show the other side of live ....

Try that exact same chart again, but this time set the EMA filter = True.

Actually Zendo, if the first short trade had gone for a Tp of 25 pips it would have a successful trade. So its really an issue of trade management.
I took 70 pips from EUR/USD last night, granted it has been open from the 14th but it was a success.

CHFJPY15M : S/L hit @ 25.6 pips (R:R was set to 1 : 3.125) In retrospect, I could have gone out with a 1:2 even though my settings were aiming for an 80 pips; or at the very least, once the 1:2 had been reached I could have brought the S/L to BE+. Anyhow, it can't be all winners so I'm not giving much more than this into it .

jay thanks for the advice i looked at my cable cz then did it again another few times it did look a bit too unwieldy. ill go back and review my fundamentals in the near future

Sorry Jay, time for a little tough love. Time to get the J-train back on track:

If this pic is an example of your normal trading goals, then you aren't really using SSBO. SSBO is a breakout system. I have never promised, or even encouraged for that matter, pip targets of 80-90-100 pips. Because that isn't breakout trading.

The indi is intended to help you locate one vital piece of information, and only one. Any information besides this that you might glean from it is purely incidental, peripheral to the core issue. It seems that lately a lot of you guys have been switching that around, and the peripheral has become the primary, having been carried away by the wide variety of dashboard bells and whistles. And when that happens you lose your way, hunting for regular 100p payputs instead of 30. That is not sniping; that is not breakout trading.

So stop misusing the dashboard guys and get back on track. Place your focus where it belongs, and allow the indi to help you pick out a realistic breakout pip target.

So alright then, who can tell me what the one vital piece of info is, above everything else showing on the dashboard? It's been said before, back when things were simpler. It's just been lost sight of in the fog of dreaming for huge triple-digit payouts, but it's still there, so obvious and so easy to overlook. So what is it? And remember, I didn't say the indi gives it to you, I said it helps you to locate it...

I guess I gotta take a step back and reflect on my approach a bit... I understand that I can't be on the hunt for 60-100 pips all the time on every pairs, I just figured that since G/J, C/J, and other exotics have such huge movements that focusing on larger "breakouts movements" would be sensible; while other pairs such as G/U, which have a different behavior, would be more "conservative". Guess I got lost along the way.

I'll have to figure out a way to make this work focusing solely on the initial breakout and maintaining a decent R:R.
