good afternoon everyone...looks like we got the minutes coming out in a hour..anybody have any thoughts on what it might do to the Aud..with the current PA I'd like to short here or at least see if we can reach the 1.0320 area..just a thought..

My analysis - if aud goes up and makes a new high (1.0370 or higher) - aud will continue to go higher to 1.05 and possibly even above in the months to come
if it goes lower - that would actually be a good time to buy^^

well that worked out nicely..had a long from 1.0288 closed at 1.0325 now flipping it around with a short at 1.0328...let the slide down begin...

Time frames are important for viewing trend consistencies and setting up risk tolerance.

I enjoy trading AUD because of the volatility, especially as of lately.

I'm a swing trader and trade both ways, always selling into strength and buying into weakness.

I trade support/resistance zones..so I don't try to guess direction...

A shorter 10 minute chart seems to work well for AUD/USD, as I tend to make 4 to 5 trades in a 24 hour period...

Just depends upon volatility and where the zones are set up.

fundamentals say neutral to slightly bullish

chart and technical analysis say bearish (Bearish tl on the 4hr has held so far)

risk is undetermined

I think we are install for a slow grind to a support level until something picks up

however that being said there are more risk off scenarios developing this week so could we see another sell off sooner rather than later?

its a good one to trade. pair it up with something else though, as its volatility is low. it trades pretty smooth, nice trends overall, in the long term a definite one to have.
