My amateur analysis in no particular order;

1. It's also worth noting that today is the Presidents Day holiday in the US so we won't have their session online overnight AEST.

2. When it traded sideways between 14-16 Feb it consolidated in an ascending triangle before breaking it south and running down ~ 35 pips before close. I'm having a really hard time spotting an entry one way or the other at the moment.

3. Leaving the same channel it was trading in last week on the H4 it appears to have broken up to the 38% Fib then been pushed back roughly to the same channel. I'm waiting for a second test of that channel.

4. If it breaks again I'll be long from .03200 looking for .03600. If it bounces off I'll be short from .02800 looking for 0.01600.

Have seen this in both threads but can't find where you've posted your analysis to support it? If you could post something up explaining why you think we'll break south and why .0140 is your target that would be awesome.

H4 indicates a consolidation phase is underway. More downside is likely.

Let me clarify some myths of some members in this forum. This forum is a place to meet other traders and exchange trading ideas. It's not a classroom for teaching or advising students. Experiences members share their insights in different formats and styles. Less experienced members can learn through reading others' messages or by asking questions.

IMO, if you are a newbie, don't waste you money to hire mentors or buy expensive trading DVD. Most "experts" who are mentoring may be in fact needed more mentoring than a newbie.

The breakout strategy has been taught by many and followed by many as well. Whoever taught this strategy did not realize the deep rooted problem embedded in it. Whoever followed it had never questioned the legitimacy of such a strategy. I have seen people posting messages of using such a strategy daily.

The breakout strategy seems a good one but in fact it is not flawless and also is lagging too much. It puts a trader in an adversary position due to entering the trades too late to gain an edge.

Im manually forward testing something I came across just playing with something, and have decided to keep to it to the pip for entries for 3 more days, darn boring i tell you, AU EU and GJ need 1.03026 to short AU but only got 15 minutes left so probably wont be in it.
