I have come to the conclusion that I will not be able to commit to full CZ trades until June-ish; it's getting a bit hectic at work and time won't be on my side.

Therefore, I will be finding sweet spots based on the breakout trade exclusively; no recovery trades.

Here are my 2 first settings to be forward tested as of today. I will be prioritizing a good R:R in order to attain profitability.

EU1H has some nice potential but each CZ will need to be evaluated prior to jumping in the trade for the following reasons
a. Nice R:R opportunities since I turned on the auto reduce feature (biggest CZ + spread being 33 pips big)
b. QTP is at 40 pips
c. To maintain a good R:R I have to carefully calculate the SL since I have to wait on the first bar to close, which can make my R:R turn bad.

UJ15M offers a more stable R:R; therefore less analyzing
a. QTP set at 62.5 pips
b.Auto reduce turned off, and MinBars to 0 = constant SL of 53
c. Constant R:R of 1.18:1

I will be testing other currencies until I find the best R:R for my taste based on this approach and will keep you guys posted.

I'm a little bit baffled. I have taken to snapshot a appr. 1 - 2 minutes apart from each other. The difference is that the first pictures uses no template what so ever. It is just a clean graphic of the eur / usd, with the final dynamic breakout box indicator applied on it. The second graph is taken 1 minute later , only I use a custom template and after that I apply the dynamic breakout box. Why is there so much different. Hence for picture one the box has broken out of the top. Picture 2 shows the price has entered the czone from beneath. Could someone explain how to read this.

Jokes aside, you probably just saved a template with some of your indicators. You should start a fresh chart with no templates; fix your colors and grid to your tasting then apply the indie.

Another great dial. Remember that these need to be forward tested.

From the 3 EUR that I have posted, this one would be my favorite as the minimum R:R is 1.66:1

Thank you.....I read you loud and crystal clear....when i learn how to post screenshots (i did read post 623!), i will show and contribute. I dont need the CZ software you guys have developed, just wondering for future reference if I will have to get metatrader to do so. Probably best to keep doing the CZ's on my own anyway.......

I'm sure the answer to my question re: ninjatrader will be uncovered over the weekend!

PS. Took long in cable this morning @ 15517...tad late, good entry tht got 20 pips....moved stop up and only got 4, should still be in....my focus was the entry tho.....i always jumped in after the price moved out of the box.....I will now concentrate on a 2 candle close.....

ım lookıng at some other eur usd charts people have put up and people are usıng a dıfferent cz zone (ın the cırcle) to the one ım usıng not that ıts bad or anythıng but prıce seems to be movıng from one to the other ınterestıngly

You seem to be at a point where you should learn to be able to easily spot CZ.

From there you will need to forge your MM based on your trading style / preferences (that is still weeks away for you, my friend).

If anything, you should reread the thread and take notes along.

It took me about 4 weeks to read the whole thing (that was when it had less than 200 pages), because I wasn't on autopilot, skimming the information. And trust me when I say it was well worth the effort.

There's another Easter Egg that so far no one has asked about, another new tool in the pouch that older indi versions didn't have.

The default input for this setting is Zero. Change it to something bigger and see what happens. After a few of you have posted pics of your results we'll get into talking about it...

ı have read the whole thread not too long ago took me all of december and a chunck of november ı fully respect your opınıon ı just feel lıke practıce and revıew wıth

forward tests followıng the fundamental structure and comparıng wıth others would be best at the moment... ı have gotten ıt wrong a few tımes now but hey thats

what not suckıng takes

just wonderıng are many people stıll tryıng thıs system wıthout the ındı??

If I remember correctly, you spoke of re-entries once PA came back within the extended CZ. So if I were to set it to 10, a box 10 bar-wide would appear in my extended CZ, helping me visualize if a re-entry is within the limits programmed.

Also from the looks of it, it seems to be a "live forward-testing" tool.

Edit : Attached image shows settings set to 20; the box is actually 19 bars wide, meaning the current bar, which is not yet "painted" within the CZ, is the 20th. If it were to remains in that new box, it would validate re-entry (given that the 19 bars would be within the limits).

Look again. The current bar is never included in any calculations. In your pic, the ResetBox includes all 20 bars. But since bar #1 and #20 are covered by the box's left & right side lines (leaving 18 inside the box) they are a little harder to count maybe.

And now that little exercise made me realize that the ShadowGrid is actually the same length of the predetermined BoxLength; ultimately giving a nice visual of how big the box is and if it's close to get within the sweet spot.

So looking at the attached chart, the initial breakout trade was correct and met it's profit target. Usually if the prices comes back into this CZ a new trade will not be initiated on a further subsequent break of the CZ. However, with this new reset box function, if price comes back into the CZ and into the box, a new trade will be triggered if a break occurs.

Is this right?

EVERY breakout is "correct". Even a breakout that reverses and hits your SL is "correct".

Yes. The Reset Box acts exactly the same as the CZ box does. But you will only see it once the initial trade set has closed. It won't paint on the chart otherwise.
