The stats.

Trade one initiated, but then a new box appeared over the old one and up it went. In the meantime GU also created an box overlay but went in the original direction.
EJ got stopped, GU hit TP.
Took EJ counter trade but chickened out as my original target was 125.14 as you can see, I closed @ 124.87
These are real test trades not demo!

Difficult not to make money today shorted at 81 on a signal given by ssbo and supported by my 1 hour chart.

Overlapping boxes are often a sign of "too loose settings" coupled with a 5 CZ per week, I would definitely refine my settings.

It would also help if he was using the latest indicator version instead of the old Squalou indi. Which I have pointed out several times by now. You can lead a horse to water, but...

I have a question about the indicator. Every now and then it will give a signal a few bars later then I expected. I put one example in the attachments. in the blue box it give a buy signal, but I think it should have given a buy signal 3 bars earlier. The minimum closed bars is at 1 and EMA filter is false.

I am not sure if there are other functions in the indicator that has influence on it, but so far i couldnt find it. So has someone any idea why this is?

Are you absolutely sure the EMA Filter is OFF? I had exactly the same 'issue' and it turned out to being simply because of the EMA Filter

Yes I am 100% sure I turned the EMA filter off. So I really have no idea why it happens.

I seem to be having the same issue this morning : see the attached chart. The black arrow shows entry per settings (the signal and S/L we're showing live, they later disappeared completely).

There are 2 very different issues being pointed out in the last few posts, and none of them are the indicators fault.

1. Repainting icons: The indicator is not responsible for placing (painting) the various trade related arrows and lines on the chart. That is a Metatrader MT4 function, which some times breaks down. By way of contrast, notice how the colored CZ boxes and Buffer Lines, which are made by the unique SSBO coding, never repaint. So thank Xux for the parts that never repaint, and curse Metatrader for the parts that do.

2. Late entries: First, triple check the entire inputs list all the way to the bottom (where EMA inputs are listed) to make sure the EMA filter is turned off. Next, triple check your MinBar input. If everything checks out with both of those and you still see a so-called late entry, then the most likely problem is broker slippage. After that, Spread. Or a combination of both working against you at the same time. The indi has an adjustable Spread input, but nothing can be done about slippage. The default Spread filter is "5". But just like every other feature of the indicator, this needs to be customized for every pair as you hunt for your preferred sweet spots.

I've noticed that once before and after I've changed it I never picked it up again. I recon it must in the close of the bars, but need confirmation from the creators.

Hmmm... I understand what you are saying, but doesn't that behavior somewhat "taint" the sweet spots? It kind of throws me a curve ball as to how I would be gauging specific settings, trying to forward test them, knowing that oops, a previous entry wasn't really an entry; ultimately giving me a CZ win after the First Recovery Trade, according to the indie, when in reality, following the live signal were to give me a 3 consecutive losses.

The other thing I don't understand is that a trade signal was painted at 10 am, then the SL paint appeared at 11am, then the whole trade paint disappeared at 1pm; wouldn't a slippage repaint have happened earlier?

Is this part of the fix from what was discussed a while ago with LarryK as one of the main "spread-issue" that the previous indicator couldn't handle?

Also, I can't find where I could find the spread filter (is it the EMA filter?)

Please note that I am in no way in an angry mood or trying to challenge what you are saying, simply trying to get a better grasp on how the indicator functions in a live environment

I don't have any doubts in the efforts and skills put into this, and I am very grateful.

But I will say this: The Xux part of the platform is MUCH more stable and trustworthy than the Metatrader part is.

Still got questions? Still doubting whether or not you should use it? No problem -- just do what I did and find yourself a professional coder that will work with you for free for the next 8 months, and then the two of you can design your own indicator how ever you please. But don't be too surprised if he really wants $5000 for his trouble.

Still not sure? OK then, how about just ditching the indis all together and go back to drawing the boxes by hand? SSBO is still a naked trading system at heart, and the custom indis are just a free added extra. What part of "free" are you guys not getting? If you can use it and trust it (like I do), then great! If not, then stop busting my balls. All of you could also get together and cough up 5K to help compensate Xux99 for all his time and trouble -- imagine that!

Lots of choices above to pick from -- pick one and go with it...

Can't complain about results today.

GBP/USD 25 pips
AUD/USD 30 pips
EUR/JPY 25 pips
EUR/GBP 25 pips
USD/JPY 40 pips
CHF/JPY 33 pips then 30 pips, (box in morning and one just closed)

208 pips on the day. All breakout trades but 2 that went to recovery 1.

Thank you for the explanation FH. Just to clarify, it wasnt my intention to put doubt to the indicator. I just saw something happening that I didnt understand and couldnt explain. Just trying to understand the indicator.

I am extremely greatfull for all the work and generosity you and xux put in it.
