Anyone with any thoughts on this pair for 2013? I dont trade during this week so Im waiting for a new set up in the new year.

AUD/JPY - My 2nd Favorite Pair to Trade

We are now at a critical area of resistance for the monthly / weekly charts. Definitely bullish price action for JPY cross pairs, especially due to the JPY breaking a 6 year upwards trend line. I am now bearish on JPY for the entire 2013 meaning I am BULLISH on USD/JPY and JPY cross pairs. I am especially BULLISH on AUD/JPY as the "carry trade" is back for 2013!

However, we need some sort of retrace before going long. I'm looking for a pullback down to 84.75 - 83.50 before entering any more long positions. Obviously I will need to keep an eye on Price Action before placing any trades.

Basically looking for previous Resistance to find Support before going long.

I'll post monthly, weekly, and daily charts with my areas of Support & Resistance. Also, I'll definitely post when I decide to enter any long AUD/JPY positions. Happy Trading!

Thanks mate! Great charts. I am hoping for a big pullback as well....then long up to 95ish area maybe higher. But for now I wait and watch. Happy pips to you!

Took a few short positions on AUD/JPY earlier today. Price seems to have hit a temporary brick wall when looking at the past 8 daily candles. Looking for a nice retrace down to 92.60 and then 89.50 where I will more than likely load up on longs.

These short positions are counter trend trades so are a little risky but JPY pairs are definitely in need of some sort of retrace.

D1 MACD has now crossed over = Bearish

Will scale in a few more positions as trades move in my favor selling when H1 is "over bought" according to Williams %.

Added a few more short positions on AUD/JPY, NZD/JPY, and CAD/JPY. Time to wait it out and watch trades move in my favor, will close positions if new highs are made on the Daily.

Closed out all of my AUD/JPY shorts as well as other JPY cross pairs. Price was stalling and I didn't feel comfortable keeping open these short trades in such a strong uptrend.

Made roughly 500 pip profit in the past few days of trading so I am happy.

I'm going to sit on the sidelines for the time being as I don't want to buy or sell at these levels. Need to see how Price Action reacts in the coming days/weeks.

I'm going short again on AUD/JPY. Like I said in one of my previous posts that this is a counter trend trade so could be risky but price has seemed to been stalling when looking at the Daily charts and I still see more downside movement in the near future.

Short AUD/JPY @ 94.846

SL: Just above 1st weekly resistance @ 96.20
TP: 89.50 (I reserve the right to tp @ anytime depending on PA)

Weekly Support / Resistance:

1st Resistance: 95.97

1st Support: 92.60
2nd Support: 89.50
3rd Support: 88.48


My main area of interest will be 89.50 as I think price can move to this area in the short term. However, I remain bullish on AUD/JPY for the long term.

Thank you for your analyzes, the problem i see the yen pairs are driven politically, they donīt give
a damn about technicals most of the time

furthermore AUD/USD seems to retrace which should support AUD/JPY

Any thoughts anyone? Retest much lower than bounce up to another high? (I'm thinking over the next 6 months or so).

As an aside I have noticed the AUD always seems to drop in May...I guess the big boys are closing out their positions before their long summer holidays.
