I can see a bigger momentum on other pairs too.

I dont know... we'll see... They have never been part of the Euro and they don't need to belong to the EU to trade with Europe... if they have anything left to trade after selling everything to the Germans.. Rolls Royce,etc...

For my first 2 years I only traded EURUSD... nothing else... it usuallt drives the market and I know that one like a long time lover... I am sure I learned more by not being distracted with many markets, but just milking one for all it would give... learning all its twists and turns....

At this point, I should only trade USDJPY and EURUSD... they are the least correlated and can be traded like independent markets... From time to time I see a setup on a slow boring day like this and jump on it.... then like today... I ask myself what am doing in this trade? I don't need to be in another trade just because there is a setup...

Oh, that's ok.
What I used to do as a beginner was opening 4, 5 trades on different pairs.
It was so distracting until I learnt how they are all correlated…

I saw that earlier too...

I think they are a little low and may miss the fill....

I have the bottom of my buy zone at 87.80.... looking to load up ahead of that..... for one more wave up...

From the technical point, price can't go up in straight line forever...
Every healthy trend needs corections...
All YEN pairs could be a trap at some point.
I wouldn't play too big with YEN...

this may interest you though......coming up on the date quickly. will this time be different?

i posted this back around sept 13, 2012 FOMC day and the selling soon ensued.....remember being short equity indexes and terrified the FED would blowtorch my positions with the QE (nothing quite like fear, you know)...this time around i may be more cautious shorting just because of the scope and duration of monthly flow.it is not just the 85 billion per mo but also the FED's earned interest from MBS which throws another 20 billion per on the top........big numbers and all of it run through the primary dealer banks

tend to agree MS may be looking too low....had some nice trades on this pair over the past week both ways. hope for a few more.

Such a boring day... I do need to stick to EURUSD and USDJPY except during the most juicy setups... Coulda used these 70 pips or so today though....

USDJPY update... Looks like we saw an expanded flat again for the B wave, which stalled near the .618 retrace, and former basing channel top...

Charts says the rest... I stand aside...

the 'unexpected' out of BOJ would be a dud announcement..

maybe a hint from Amari to explain strategy at Davos next week?
