Looking at SD on 5 min charts

If I had any doubt about the entry on the 5M compared to the 4H then I'd think it over and know what I am getting in to. In this case (at a quick glance) I'd wait for the 4 and enter long. If I did take the 5M then I'd take it knowing very well that I may just grab a couple of quick pips and get out, all the while watching it.

I don't worry much about going counter on the 5M, unless I don't know where I am on the map. I have been guilty of seeing a sweet setup on the 5M, and diving in because I didn't want to miss anything. Then after entering I would look at the 4H wondering what in the world I just did. Now I like to know where I am at all times.

Thanks for that. It makes good sense. It's difficult when one sees conflicting levels on different timeframes... or when one is getting close to a level that may be broken because it's not fresh... so to trade or not? I'll keep looking at charts
