I think the formulas are correct used another sheet as a template

I have a suffix of 'm' so you will have to remove it from the pairs
Also I have a 5 digit broker not sure if this will be a factor or not

I have Core 5 and 14 Pairs

I look at the bottom where I have 2 percent numbers that add up to 100%
If the sells are over 60% (red) sell basket is in place
if the Buys are over 60% (green) buy basket is in place
other wise ranging

Just a toy take it or leave it

reverse usd/chf and gbp/chf and u will have more pips

top-right corner, look for an EA posted on "Jan 14, 2013 9:49pm "

that's GVC's, it should be enough to Auto Trade.

Kos uses his own EA.

Yeah I'm going to set up GVc's (T101s?) EA tonight to check it out. There is a simplified version of MPTM specifically for basketting called MPBM (see attached). This is what I've been using for trade management and have found it quite straight forward.

i've literally (20 min ago) just set up GVC's ea T101 BTS EA with MBPM... trying to find some good settings

yeterday my T101 BTS EA went up to about 600 pips but without any take profit routines ended in a loss of about 100 pips. looking for a good exit strategy

Nice DC! I'm definitely not not an excel geek but I love my statistics and analysis. I understand how to read it but can you please explain how the sheet draws data? Are we supposed to cut and paste our data directly into some of the cells? I see the "=MT4|ASK!..." formulas. Are they somehow drawing data direct from MT4?

in the Tools>Options>Server section of your MT4 platform tick "enable DDE server" (you must ensure only 1 platform has this option activated) the excel doc will then call up the required info using the "=MT4|ASK" and update the doc auotmatically, the only thing you need to do is remove the "m" at the end of this code if you are NOT using a mini account and you currency pair's DON'T have the "m"

you can also call up the BID info by changing the ASK to BID then have the calculate the spread for each pair.

and so on.

this doc was part of the original BTS groups development and part of the orignal excel setup. the same thing can be found in an indi (not sure where though, possible in the "indicator development for the T101 system") and will sit in a standard chart, so no need for the excel

Why man! Sorry for that loss. I think as a rule traders should have a feel with the manual first before the attempting to use the EA. Even KOS had to lead everyone on manual before the EA.

I still use the manual because sometimes I trade the HAS bounces on 4HR TF (pls don't do this and no question about it here because it's not KOS' rule).

For the MBPM, did you enable "Allow live trading" and "Allow DDL import"?

Thanks Dud45 for this. I will give it a look cos the original MPTM settings can really piss one off if you have a bias for simplicity.

dont worry loss was only on demo - still new to this basket trading thing here. will try and digest first 100 pages of the thread which bishopdotun advised....

myff do you trade just manual or EA as well? to answer your question yes i enable allow live trading and allow dll import

1. Adaptive pips take profit and pips take profit.

2. Adaptive pips stop loss and pips stop loss.

3. Adaptive breakeven profit pips and breakeven profit pips.

4. Adaptive breakeven profit pips lock and breakeven profit pips lock.

The original MPTM does not have the "Adaptives" if I recall very well.

Do you mind throwing some light on the above differences? That could be blamshakk's problem.

just to be clear when i took that loss yesterday no MBPM was set up, just using the EA.... lets see how it goes tonight/tomorrow with MBPM settings

can any1 point me where I can get 2protectaccountea. Been looking from the previous thread for hours without success. The original version says it's expired. I'm willing to use kos's original idea and try to learn more. So I'm willing to show my small account of $ 400 but I only need somekind of indicator to show all the P/L pips since it would be darn hard to calculate those hundreds pips manually once we start basketing. Thanks in advance.

For those interested in the multi purpose trade manager, here is a pdf with explanations for all the perimeters. There are several versions of the ea out there however 90% of the inputs are the same.

Hi Myff,

Maybe I was wrong in saying it was a simplified version of MPTM. I've only ever read the .pdf for MPTM and thought it seemed to have a lot more settings than the the MPBM I'm currently using. I've never actually used MPTM and only used the .pdf to compare.

Ok so the "adaptive" part is the change introduced to MPTM for basketting. Basically they refer to applying pips to the individual trades that are open. So for instance if you put a standard stop loss of 560 it will apply a stop loss across the total basket of 560 pips. If you put an adaptive pips stop loss of 560 it will apply 560pips per open trade resulting in a total stop of 6720 pips (14 x 560)!! Same goes for take profit and BE. So an adaptive TP of 20 will give you a total take profit of 280 pips overall. So when you see adaptive think "per trade". I personally don't use it and I'm still unsure of it's benefit. I thought that maybe the idea is for people that are constantly changing the numbers of pairs they trade in the basket. I guess they could set a standard adaptive number of pips per SL/TP/BE and then trade 14 pairs, 12 pairs, 5 pairs etc all with the same MPBM set file.

Do you need me to explain anything else apart from the adaptive part? You understand how the break even and lock profit bits work?
