Hi Guys I'm a Newbie wading through 650 posts that I love about this system, and I'm wondering if anywhere there might be an email alert for when the Synergy bars change colour,unfortunately I still have to work fulltime and would find it very helpful

Hello
This are my week 3 results of trading with TDI, all trades are with a micro account real$.
This week i realized my Trade manager has been limiting my pips.

Tade 1- TDI rules ---> target hit.

Trade 2- Tried to predict the trend- got owned by the market.

Trade 3- This one actually was a break even trade even though i was at almost +20 pips at some moment, price retraced and my trademanager closed the trade.

Trade 4- This was a perfect trade oportunity that i missed, I didnt actully trade due to indecision that day. However a sell limit i had from a previous day was triggered and i closed it asap. Noob mistake yes -- I dont even remember that day or how i didnt see it waiting to open a trade.

That day i had been reading the EURUSD thread from FF and those guys messed with my head after reading all kinds of theories where price might go. Then it was too late to enter and decided to go sleep.

Trade 5- TDI rules ---> target hit.

I am going to remove target pips from my EA and just let it run on trailing stops.
Does anyone know if its possible to back test a trade manager?
I really need to play with its setting to find the sweetspot.

l have trading Forex for 10mths now,l have blown a total of 4accounts losing more than $30 000.l have to say you guys on this thread are luck X-Man gave out the number.l have to say thank you to X-Man for this thread,because l have picked up another piece of my trading puzzle the TDI.its the first time l get to understand the TDI and use to filter bad trades.l have to say the S3 method is highly accurate and you can even push the success rate higher by following the simple rules of the 60ema.if you take trades according to the higher TF trend you will have a high success rate.The only time you might experience drawdowns is when the trend is changing the direction,but you can try filter that by drilling down to even lower TF and check the position of the 60ema.l have back tested previous charts and realised this method is even more accurate on higher TF like the daily and the 4HR.l know it sounds crazy but this is one of the most simplest trading systems you will ever come across in your trading career.l know people find it difficult to accept that such a simple method can get you pipping in no time if you follow the rules. l am so fortunate because in South Africa we can trade both london and US session its during the day our time.lets get pipping (stolen from X-Man)

2 Opportunities. 1 x 40 Pips or 1 x 25 Pips or 1 x 40 + 1 x25 = 65 Pips. If you have been looking you should have found these 123 entries. The big one is visible on the Hourly, the 2 are visible on the 15 min. I have marked them up on the 5 min because they are clearer there.

Hi Dee,

Some people, before entering in a 123 trade are waiting to see if the PA is braking or bouncing of the support found on number 2. Checking your last pic I can see that on both trades you entered much eralier. Could you please explani your logic?
Furthermore I can see that a possible new 123 is forming (1 at .3370, 2 at .3336 3 at .3362). Am I right? If yes where would you place a new sell order?

Two EJ H1 trades today.....the first at market open....entered because of the strong uptrend from last week and a strong blue candle to open the week.
The second trade was a typical LO trade although I entered a little late (3rd candle instead of 2nd)....still reached my TP.

When you see a pullback to a S&R level, BRN or Bigger MA, then look for the 1-2 leg that starts at S&R level, BRN or Bigger MA. Then you have found your 123.

I cant thank you enough Dee for your contribution to us , I learn a lot from your explanation about this pattern

Now you have even clear more valubale info about this pattern

I did 3 trades today

1 at Breakeven even though I could close it at + 10 Pips or so

Second with + 2 pips

and the third with - 0.7 pip

For me if I can just save my capital while I'm practicing trading would be good

Well spotted but the 123 Pattern is a reversal pattern not a continuation pattern. In addition the initial 123 patterns have reached their 100% extensions at a prior S&R level and as the original longer term trend was up I would be looking for a reversal back into the trend.

Normal rules for entering following a 123 is waiting for price to break thru the Num 2 level, however, if you are confident enough there is no reason not to enter prior to that because so many traders see and use the 123 that it is quite a reliable pattern. I also enter earlier because my stop is much tighter e.g in this example I only used a 10 pip stop which for me was an acceptable risk. Where I enter is dictated by the prior candle pattern, I usually enter following a 3 bar reversal pattern which confirms the short term reversal. I covered 3 bar reversals recently. I also do not take 123s that do not pullback to an S&R level. A pullback to an S&R creates a Breakout PullBack Pattern which added to the 123 provides a much stronger signal. 2 in 1.
