Here is the daily chart.

Price broke above the top trend lind and is now retesiting support on it at 1.2920/25

If we get a daily close below its bear, and a daily close above will be bull. The bull side is confirmed on a break above previous candles high.

Holding trade pending support test.

Non-farm payrolls are tomorrow a.m., so the trading will be rangebound tonight, and it will take off upwards tomorrow after the news. It may spike downwards first, though, before re-initiating its upwards trend , if I am correct.

The price will retest 1.2900 befor going back up and can correct to 1.2875.

Between those 2 points the 4,8 ema falls on various time frames. Daily, 4 hr 1 hr 30 min. And middle bolli comes in at those ranges too depending on time frame.

The most fall on 1.2880. But the longer it takes the higher that # becomes. By the time it gets to moving there it will probly be 1.2895/1.2900 range.

Here is one of my techniques.

Put a 4,8 ema up and a 21 sma.


Now flip that chart through 30 min 1 hr 4 hr and daily time frames.

What range does all those averages come together on different time frames.

Now you have a target range, a support range, and resistance range, and a break, failer entry range.

And then pull up fibo lines and see that those moving averages line up with wich fibo's. Find the most common price range between time frames.

I have found this to be the best way to find a short term pivot point. And thats why I can get such small s/l and trades where the price don't go against me. And I can exit just befor it changes direction. Or enter just befor it moves.

If you don't get tunnel vision and be patient then this method can make you appear to see the future at times.

But remember the price has no idea what it is "suppost" to do. The price is like a red headed step child. No concept of rules.

retest of todays high on eur$ is giveing some lift to GBP. All should be good as long as resistance at 1.2940 holds on EUR.

Price is hesitating to break above 1.2840 on eur$

holding both shorts untill they hit s/l.

If eur rises will look at 1.2870 as next resistance level. a break above there will open up the door.

red circle is break of trend line. Then blue circle is a break of previous resistance and a retest of support at that point.

1.2972 is last months high. A break above could give rise to a substantial move.

euro stopped out - 20 pips.

I forget what I set trailing stop at on eur/gbp but it was hit at 6874.

+9 pips

Well the market finally broke 1.2690/2700 support.

There should be a retest of that range to find resistance befor falling further.

I am just waiting for now.

Well the end of the week gave some head fakes resulting in a nice doji on the daily chart.

There should be significant support keeping the euro from falling in the short term and possibly mid term.

Price is resting on the 55 day ema and 8 week ema. In a strongly trending market these points will hold.

Also the price is just above the 38.2 fibo of the long wave up.

The euro likes to retrace 50% much of the time but bounces off the 38.2 befor breaking past and going for the 50. So we should see a bounce up from here but don't get too excited yet it will probly be short lived.
I want to enter a mid term long position today because mabe the 38.2 will be as deep as this retrace goes.
So I'll be looking for an entry today. 1 position and large s/l.

Yea. After staring at it for over a year you start to recognise the personality of a pair.
I get the moves right but the time in wich they will occure is another story. It might do 5 things befor doing the one thing I am waiting for.

Like the move I expect now. It could consilidate at the current level, wipsaw in a confused market, or leap streight up to retest the highs in two days.

Or it could nose dive right to the 50% level.

daily pivot is 1.2637

and weekly pivot is 1.2736. I expect it to at least test that weekly pivot.

Wait to see if price stays above 1.2637. A breif break below and then a rise back above will be a good buy signal.
