I think that last trade called "NY Classic" went down about 200 classic pips.

hi tony

i dont know what your exact rules are to be honest.

after reading the thread, rules seem to have changed so much.

are you saying that , at NY open say. you pull up a 5 sec chart at precisely 1pm (u.k. time for NY open, right ?).

the first 5 sec candle, you observe that candle. if that candle is say bullish, you immediately enter long. with a 2 pip stop. if the 5 sec candle is bearish then you immediately enter short with a 2 pip stop.

is this correct ?

my problem is how do you manage this in real time ? the 2 pip stop will be hit within minutes or seconds of entering the trade.

i have looked at the eu chart. in a span of 3 weeks, the 2 pip stop was hit every day ! so i dont understand how you manage to run your trades into profit without the 2 pip stop being hit that often ? or am i missing something here ?

can you explain...??

also, in real time when you load a order ticket to enter, do you put in your stop loss of 2 pips and take profit at the same time on the order ticket and then enter ? by the time you complete your order ticket, the market may have already moved too fast for you to catch the move. so how do you manage to deal with this ?

iam using alpari u.k. by the way. iam assuming NY open in the u.k. is at 1pm london time, which on alpari u.k. chart is 3pm, as the chart is 2 hrs ahead of london time ?

if BABEFX is still around iam curious to know her version of this system.

Hi,

I think that guys using this method wait for first +5 pip candle on 5 sec. chart after NY open.

Right now no one is using market opens as a entry point i think. Like i said, first +5 pip candle after open. So it can happen hour or two after open- during the most liquid hours.

But let's wait for Tony, i don't want to write untrue stuff.

Hi Tony, Nice of you to share your ideas. I am a price action trader,my system is similar to DanyUK (high TF trendline lover) I can't read all 450+ pages for your thread u accomplished..your first post said to move to page 180 and onwards to understand rules of the system. I read up to page 196, and still fail to see rules of system? can u briefly in a paragraph tell what exactly is/was... I've been following spot forex for 5 yrs and i tell you without doubt that 2012 market is NOT what 2010 market was...so i am sensing lot of people got burned if they didn't adapt to the 2012 model. current market is a dog eat dog market. each swing is not really a swing until it takes stops down on each direction (unlike 2010) no smooth continuation & massive fakeouts.. Anyways, Hope i hear from you on what system WAS and is NOW?

PS: what attracted me to this thread was such super R:R, with small SL and massive TPs..I say, even if we can achieve a system that yields 10 pips with 2 SL, that's an accomplishment. But in this market condition is it still possible?

Hi mates, I haven't had time to reply. You got it right. I begin my day of stalking the pray at 8 am. I wait for a 5 pip candle and i enter in that direction with a 2.5 pip SL.... sl is installed automaticly and I don't have to set it myself cause this is a default setting for my with oanda. As simple as that.

Hi my friend. Appreciate the fast that you read that much and I'm sure you'll benefit of it cause the tread is filled with hundreds of charts that show you how to make money. Read my previous post. You're right the market is inevitability and constantly changing but we have to survive.... you have to refund your losses and stay above the water level. RR is huge and very rewarding and you keep on growing.... I read my previous post. I'll also correct post 1 pretty soon. This thread will die when I will

Guys

here I am again Saturday to a Sunday classic, bar, stripperss, casino, load of cash spending... I lost 4K$ at the casino progressively bettting on 2 numbers at the roulette took an hour to lose it .... lost the 4K$.... I said f it... I withdrew another 4K$ at the ATM, put it on black at the roulette again... went away from the roulette and told my friend to tell me what happened... at that time I was looking outside of the casino window wondering how the city is beautiful with the city lights, came back... my friend was looking at me with an indecipherable look on his face.. I came to look at the roulette myself.. black and I won... I took my 4k$ back when buring thousands of dollars at the bar, restaurants.. the night ended at a south shore strip club... spend 10x more then the all the people in that bar... talking about thousands of dollars... I'm falling again falling very fast.. I did 160 on the highway spining in the snow ... I can't take this anymore... I don't wanna do this anymore

hi tony,

sorry, but i thought the latest rule was that you only wait to see which way the market opens and then you enter in that direction ? rather than wait for a 5 sec, 5 pip candle, (which could in fact take several minutes or not materialise at all).

i thought the rule was changed to just entering in the market direction of the open ? please clarify.

also, can you (or someone else) confirm the actual times you trade the london open, and new york open based on LONDON U.K. time ?

btw, take it easy on your high life...

regards

yes market opens work too ... the first page of rules tells you to do that..enter in the initial direction of the market. With recent lack of volatility, market opens were tending to whipsaw and stay flat... That's why I came back to basics, the basics that brought me up in this forex world.. Y

You have to look for a switch/increase of volatility during:
-First hours of a market open (NY or LO)
-During the ECB Press Conference
-Speeches
-I will post more occasions but generally during market opens is good

The most important thing is to refund losses at the end of the week. You have to preserve your capital no matters what. You must protect it like a lion.

Hey Tony!

See the threads still going along, that's good! I've found the best thing that has helped me is that I made a concerted effort to quit consuming alcohol and then did so. It's a nasty substance and caused me to act quite foolish! I have also saved a lot of money in doing so, no more trips to nowhere

hi tony

thanks for your reply.

the 5 sec 5 pip rule, kind of hard to fathom. it is difficult to come across a 5 pip candle on a 1 minute chart let alone on a 5 sec chart. once in a blue moon you might get it on a 5 sec chart.....i need to see it to believe it.

also, what do you mean by ''refunding losses'' ?

can you clarify the market opening times for london u.k. times ?

thanks
