Thanks for the clarification, it would have helped if this was reposted..never mind. Did check them out now and they seem to offer the whole bucket load, from fx to options. Will check the lot out but where's the add-on option for chat? That could help answer some of my queries

I have a web money account with a small balance in it that i want to move to my trading account.. Does ICMarkets accept this payment method? I see that allot of brokers do accept this

Hi All, long time reader, first time poster here.

I've been thinking about using IC as my primary FX broker but have a couple questions that I can't seem to find much info on. And everyone is such a helpful bunch on this forum I prefer working with ozzie brokers as I'm ozzie and it's easier that way. IC seems good but...

What's everyone's experience with them support wise? I've been trading XAGUSD with a few other brokers and unless the US survivalists are completely insane, it hasn't reached 0.32 a silver ring for a long time. I flagged this with them a while ago and still no resolve...



Also, I heard on the grape vine that IC is a whitelabel of Sucden Financial in the UK. Can anyone please confirm?

Lastly, coz I'm a noob and probably shouldn't be asking in this thread, but, how does one adjust candle stick analysis when switching to a gmt 0 offset (like IC) as apposed to New York close (gmt 2)?

I heard it was intl fcstone....add two hours on the candle hour? Maybe just open both mt4 and decide where you want to start. Candle should be almost the same.

This is my fist post in this forum. I saw IC Markets advertise on a signal site that I am a member of. I have got their demo for 3 months now and I am ready to fund. Please share your experience with the deposit and withdrawal process.

Sorry, but in the last post, my pic of XAGUSD W1 didn't display (maybe because I'm a junior member) - it's incorrect on 8th of July. But I'll send another email to their support

Curious spikes? I know their demo charts are not reliable but I haven't seen anything strange in the live system.
There are times where the spread is higher but during those times it is similar to the other 2 brokers I use.

Look, no broker is perfect and this applies to ICM so if they suit you...
demo and live differ a lot of many brokers
can u compare them of ICmarkets plz?

Depositing to icm takes less than a day, although I had a problem with my account being in a different currency than I originally asked, but a quick chat with their live support fixed it.
The live account data feed is much more reliable than their demo account, I don't see the freeze that I sometimes encountered on demo
The slippage is minimal and the spread is just the best that I have seen.
So far Icm is amongst the best broker that I have tried. Just need to test their withdrawal process now.

Hi everyone

I've been trading with IC markets for a couple of months now and although their spreads are excellent, the slippage is horrendous - especially if one specialises in setting pending buy/sell orders at strategic places!

Here is a copy of an email I sent them today (self explanatory):

Dear Sirs

I not at all happy with the amount of slippage on your MT4 live trading platform. Especially when one sets a pending order which is the way I mostly trade.
I seem to be getting "short changed" on both sides of the trade!

I have attached a copy of my statement. There are 2 trades today which i was hit really badly. It is not acceptable.

The first trade I am really unhappy about is: 2826354 where I set a pending order on EURUSD at 1.3431 price action shot right through my pending price the trade did not trigger at all - suddenly it triggered at 13438 - 7 pips away!!

The second trade: 2828212 was a pending order I set on GBPUSD at 1.5795 to take profit at 1.5805. I notice that the trade was triggered at 157952 which I can live with but for some reason the take profit was at 1.58044 which means that I lose over half a pip - in fact I lost out on both sides of the trade!!!

Please sort this out. Your spreads are good but the above is not good at all.

Their website isn't the most informative & their reviews on FPA look very suspicious.........and it seems that their demo has some issues.........I don't understand it, why do some of these brokers offer crappy demos, I mean if a trader has issues on the demo then that's not going to leave a good impression on him/her about the broker & they mayn't open a live-account either.

On a positive note, their spreads seem very good on myfxbook but they'd be useless if there are substantial slippage-issues; I also watched the presentation-video about their MT4 "multiterminal" & that thing looks useful.

Anyway, what's the minimum deposit?

Slippage in FX is evident with all the brokers I've tried.
Is the slippage always -ve or is it also positive?
Have you tried other brokers?

Can you tell us how many lots you were trading and which session that occur ?

I was trading 1 mini - lot (1 dollar a pip) on my live account. Does it make a difference how many lots one is trading?

It was EURUSD - a very volatile move upwards - the price shot up at 11.00am (GMT) yesterday morning in a few seconds - but in this highly technological computerised age I still don't understand the "slippage" issue!!

I was with SVSFX.com forex brokers before - their spreads are not as good but there is NO slippage on their MT4 platform AT ALL even when there is news breaking and the price shoots up or down!

Mostly pending buy or sell orders. Those are of course the ones that are most affected by "slippage"

I have to confess that sometimes it is positive (when the trade reaches it's TP target) - but mostly it's negative! If one sets a target of say 1.3400 and the trade reaches your TP, I'm not sure how it is that you only get credited with the trade reaching 133955

As I mentioned above, I did have an account with SVSFX brokers and there was NO slippage ever on their MT4 platform!!

withdrawal is very very sloooow... waiting over 1 week for my withdrawal. At pepperstonefx, I only had to wait 2 days.

This is going to be last time I will use these guys.... going on to 2 weeks, and still didn't get my withdrawal. I used Pepperstone, it takes 2 days. I used Armadafx,
took 3 days. I used Oanda, and it took 2 days. And now IC markets, going to be 2 weeks, not acceptable.
