Don't know for you guys, but level based touch trading was loosing by any means in December for me...
Just sharing my experience.

Got busted in this one as well. Even though NZD/USD is considered a major maybe its too small in terms of volume? Or sometimes these setups just dont work out. What ive recently experienced is that these setups wont work for the crosses nearly as good as for the majors. so i will concentrate my trading on the majors in the future.

The beginning of the month was good for me, but on the last week i lost all of my profit....I have to agree with Bullz, you're a good trader and good person Rust, on the next year I'm sure you'll get your reward. Hopefully we just lose because the market is different in the end of year.

Nice to see your chart. I did the same thing when it failed as a long setup, among other confluences.

I just wanted to leave you all with a little holiday gift, or holiday reading if you will.

I think understanding the Wyckoff market cycle will help you all understand/pick out better RR and SFP's

Wyckoff Market Analysis

Rust's post is a clear example of the wyckoff market cycle in effect, which hopefully will help pick out the best entry and exit points.
Now, I'm not saying learn a new method, we already have a sound method with two (three with gaps) high probability setups. However we can benefit from understanding the market in all its aspects to allow us to better pinpoint our current method.

hey guys just some extra thoughts on the nzdusd trade.. having a look at the higher timeframe (weekly) you can see price made a fake out (or sfp) on a weekly top.. im assuming there was a fair amount of orders placed around there and hence maybe another reason that on the way down, smaller timeframe levels didnt play as a major part..

Imo, that is not a clear/good SFP because i consider the breakout not enough to "sucker in" the breakout traders that will have to bailout when price reverses on them, thus pushing price further down.

Edit: Am I the only one that hates the new FF look? lol

But I agree with your sfp.
And If I had to pick, I'd say this pattern is an uptrend market.
Where after the test we most likely repeat the pattern, accumulation, markup etc...
