I think that in some ways you answered your own question. My take on it is simple - the first break out of a cz is usually 10 to 20 pips. If you are are using a high buffer then you will hit problems. Just my opinion g/l

What is your answer to your question and what is the basis for your answer? Are you more confident or less because you are basing your set-ups with a monthly component that changes at least 12 times a year if you are using the current calender. I am not sure what will happen after the 21st. For me if I have a choice between complexity or simplicity with negligible change in my results, I choose the simple. In my trading experience I have found that the less information I have to process the better my decisions are. One of the reasons I trade on a longer time frame.

Thanks SD I think I get what you're saying, its just hard to see a pair which was having a 80% success rate over the past 3 months just drop to 60% for this month. I rather not tinker with my settings just yet probably ride it out and see how it goes.

I would like to share a post that I received via pm. I have gotten others like it so I would like to share it here with the goal of maybe helping some of the skeptics that linger to either join us or move on. I have deleted the names for privacy.

I started trading in 2008, and have blown 3 accounts since then. I have read thousands of pages from threads at KR and FF. Price action trading is very difficult to learn, especially in a forum setting. It wasn't until a very successful PA trader from KR semi-tudored me, then it clicked. It takes planning, screen time and patience. Very few will ever master it. I cant say enough about SSBO! FXHard has done all the leg work and has a tremendous amount of time and energy into this and shares it! I can teach anyone SSBO in hours (meaning, only my family members). I highly recommend it to you. Life is short and I assume your goal is to make money at forex for one reason or another. For me it was to offer a better life for my family. Take a week, read the thread. You wont be sorry.
Im up over 5000 percent this year since February. Over 1000 percent of that is strictly from SSBO. Even though I have no vouchers here at FF, and it doesnt matter to me, I would not risk my reputation as a trader from KR to encourage traders to learn SSBO if I didnt believe in it 100 percent and use it myself. Anyone that knows me, knows that. Give yourself a Christmas gift, read the thread and start making money!
Dont worry about an EA....you dont need it......I cant imagine how FXHard keeps his sanity with all the skeptics out there. Im going to post this on FF only to help convince traders that have fallen there it works. I wish if they didnt believe it they would move on, they dont need to muddy up the thread that FXHard has so graciously shared with us. So in short, SSBO, yes, learn it and make money!

I have done alot of searching and am trying to figure it out in the code.... but am unsure.

On the cz stats...lets say for discussion purposes, 100 percent success rate. With a 5 pip TP. and a 50 pip SL. Are those 5 pips wins a 100% of the time before or after the spread. Im feeling like if it was after then the 5 pip TP would be 3.5 if the spread was 1.5?

Is it all 5pip TP after the spread? What is reflected on the CZ stat box?

1. The current/updated indis that Xux and I are working with includes the Spread. It was an issue brought up by Larry a long time ago, and we fixed it.

2. You should NEVER have a SL that is larger than your TP. It's not how the system is taught, it's not how the codes are written, and it's just not smart business practice in general. Which is most likely why I don't teach it, but I digress...

Thank you for the answer. I am aware of the SL, TP ratio. Im one to dissect things and try to get a better understanding to improve performance thats all. Thank you again for this great method.

you mentioned earlier some time ago that you use break even and trailing stops, can you elaborate a bit on that please?
e.g do you breakeven after 10 pips or do you trail after 15pips????

I must say I really enjoyed reading through this thread. Thumbs up to all contributers and mainly to Forexhard.
I read through the rules and examples but I am completely new here so please excuse me upfront if I made any mistakes. I will jump right in...
1) So, on the 15min E/U chart I have identiefied a CZ.
2) I caught a break 7pips above the rectangle where I made my long entry
3) My SL=7 pips and my TP=20 (good risk/reward ratio I assume?) I remember that 3:1, 2:1 and 1:1 are all fine...

So is this a trade you would normally take?

Hi,

One more entry I found and couldn't resist taking. Now that I look at it probably it cannot be considered a good CZ...? Then again the failed breaks to the upside make me think that there is perhaps a higher probability that the break on the downside proves successful? Just trying to make an educated guess. Anyway its taken now and I wonder is this a entry according to the rules of the system?

Sorry friend, but how can you ask ANY of these questions after saying you have just finished reading the thread? There isn't a question in your recent posts that hasn't been answered 10 times in the thread, and none of my regular guys are going to waste a minute answering them, and neither am I.

At the risk of repeating myself for the 1000th time, READ THE 1st POST. Ten times if you have to, if you get don't get the message the first 9 times. If you had already, you wouldn't be here writing what you just wrote.

Just a quick update guys, since starting my style of trading once per CZ with non martingale I have as of today +286 for the month so far. That is without a shadow of a doubt the most successful trading period of my career so far.

Many hours of screentime and adjustments have now culminated in finding what works for me and what I am comfortable with. As always, through the hard work of others, I have been given this opportunity to make possible what, a few months ago, I deemed was an impossible task.

I've just placed what will be my last trade of the week on the AUD/USD. I've never traded around this time before as I only started trading full time earlier this year so I have heard that the markets get a little thin around this time.

I have made up mind that as I don't know what to expect, I will sit out and observe, collecting notes and data for next year without putting my account at risk (if there is any risk).

With will power and a determination to succeed, anyone can be successful with SSBO. Yes you will have your questions....what settings do I use? What are the best risk reward ratios? What is the best way of trading the system?

All I and I'm sure FXH and more experienced traders ask of the newcomers is please please please just read the thread. Note down any questions you have as you go along and then search back using the search function for answers.

It really is that simple. EVERYTHING has been answered before....EVERYTHING. This thread is 18 months old with thousands of posts and hundreds of pictures. Abide by post #1, follow the rules therein and you will be welcomed with open arms by a friendly SSBO community.

Serious though, since you've gone this far, if you don't mind sharing, how about filling in the rest of the blanks with how many winning and losing sets you had in that time, and what your biggest loss in pips was, and DD, etc...
