I scale out with a small TP usually 10-15 pips lock in 50% then take 25% at 30-50 pips and let the rest ride, this way I lock in and move SL to breakeven rather quickly and still have a chance for a nice runner.

Does that mean you have one closed trade at 25, one at 50 and the next will be 75 if it goes the next 25 ? That would be very nice. I can't quite read the numbers on screen.

There is a variable with the 1st TP, but basically, yes, that's the over-all idea.

I have been comprehensively backtesting my EA over all currency pairs and all various settings.

The results have been interesting. Especially when using the different Martingale settings.

They are now backtested over three years which I consider to be statistically significant.

I will show all results here when I have completed all the backtests for each to evaluate.

Its all here. Everything you need. Everyone who follows this thread should be concerned about posts like the one I'm quoting and its impact. We've had the warning signs from FXH now. That's enough to warrant an emphatic response from those who are seasoned users and advocates of SSBO.

The thread wants people to participate.....but only to do so in the manner laid out in post #1.

Agreed - I think back testing is a waste of time anyway. The system is simple and easy to understand. I have 3 wins and 1 break even so far this week. Markets are dynamic and what happened 3 years ago has no relevance on today.

I saw the CZ, but was sound asleep when it made it's move, hope you got that easy one!

In the meantime, I woke up to a nice one on the Ninja!

(These are not my regular settings as I'm not on my "trading" computer, I just threw some numbers in the Indie to show me the CZ I was seeing)

Original QTP set @ 40

Trade 1 : S/L hit @ 18.3 (becomes new T/P)
Trade 2 : T/P set at 18.3 S/L set at opposite side of CZ ; S/L @ (45.4 / 2 = 22.7) (shouldn't that become new T/P to cover the whole losses, assuming Martingale is being applied)
Trade 3 : T/P should be set at 22.7, but per indicator, T/P is still set @ 18.3
